What a great place to hike. The Beacham trail was beautiful and peaceful, and not muddy (even after 2" of rain the night before). Would recommend the walk to the dam - what an awesome sight. And if you are lucky enough to go after a good rain, you also get to see a waterfall at the dam - totally amazing. But the hike is great on its own too.

What a great city park! We were looking for a place to stretch our legs and use the restroom. This place has a great playground, swimming area and cabins. My kid took advantage of the playground. I would love to come back when we have more time. There are trails to walk and paddle boats. What a gem! You won't be disappointed.

My camping trip to Leatherwood Lake in the first week of October was fantastic. The camp is well cared for and beautiful to visit. Juanita and the staff were very accommodating and helpful in every way they could be. Including helping me with a stranded vehicle. I am planning a return trip and am looking forward to it.

Wonderful place to spend some time hiking, biking, birding, fishing or relaxing. I'm not sure this place can get any better.

We had a lovely two-night stay here over Labor Day weekend. We stayed in one of the cabins. For a campground cabin, I thought it was very nice. Spacious, kitchen was well-appointed, strong AC, and great wifi! The bathroom is pretty small (not a complaint just an FYI). My 5-year old loved being steps away from the giant playground. He loved our hike to the dam, swimming in the lake, and renting a paddleboat from the "bait shop." The bait shop also has snacks, drinks, and ice cream at very reasonable prices. We will be back!
