My camping trip to Leatherwood Lake in the first week of October was fantastic. The camp is well cared for and beautiful to visit. Juanita and the staff were very accommodating and helpful in every way they could be. Including helping me with a stranded vehicle. I am planning a return trip and am looking forward to it.

Wonderful place to spend some time hiking, biking, birding, fishing or relaxing. I'm not sure this place can get any better.

We had a lovely two-night stay here over Labor Day weekend. We stayed in one of the cabins. For a campground cabin, I thought it was very nice. Spacious, kitchen was well-appointed, strong AC, and great wifi! The bathroom is pretty small (not a complaint just an FYI). My 5-year old loved being steps away from the giant playground. He loved our hike to the dam, swimming in the lake, and renting a paddleboat from the "bait shop." The bait shop also has snacks, drinks, and ice cream at very reasonable prices. We will be back!

This is a beautiful place! They have the lake but they also have trails, playground, boat launch, and more! There is a map available on the website too. They are open from 8AM - 5PM according to phone call. I would give this a 4 because the lake is advertised to be swimmable, but it is actually extremely difficult to swim. I would recommend not swimming in the lake, it is easy to hurt yourself and it is not fully maintained. Everything else was great!

Great hiking trails! They range in difficulty from easy to extreme for all skill levels. Trails are clearly marked and there are multiple intersections should you need to switch to another trail. Lake and dam are beautiful. Very well maintained.

Absolutely amazing place to hike and hang out. We hiked around the lake last time we went and loved it! Many places to stop and take in the beauty of the lake. We also went to the waterfall... Beautiful.

I stayed at one of the "primitive" camp sites. The grounds are very well kept, and the bathrooms are clean. The hiking is great. The trails are well marked and well maintained. The staff that checked me in was very helpful and answered all my questions. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I will definitely be coming back.

We had a chance to visit it in the early fall. Lake Leatherwood is a great place to spend a day near Eureka Springs. A variety of recreational opportunities can be found in this park. One of the largest hand-cut limestone dams in the nation is located here. Lake Leatherwood Park's center attraction is this 85-acre lake that has over three miles of shoreline. There are well-maintained trails for hiking and biking enthusiasts. The lake has a designated swimming area as well as other facilities like public restrooms and picnic tables. Canoe and boat rental options are also available.

Take a step back in time here, this place is absolutely amazing!! Beautiful hikes, beautiful camping and beautiful views. All the staff is extremely friendly here also. Kayak rentals are reasonable also. Very pleased with stopping in here.

We stayed 2 nights in one of the mini cabins. The staff was very nice and the cabin was clean. The beds were comfy and it was mostly what we expected. We were thinking the cabins would be a little more secluded but you are right on top of your neighbors at this city park. The primitive campers were loud but did quite down after 10. The mini cabins share a porta potty, but at least its a larger ADA compliant one. The bathhouse is very small for the number of sites they have. The women's has 3 showers and 2 toilets and the men's just has one toilet and 2 showers. I got clean, but it was not the best laid out space for sure. It would help a lot to have shelves or somewhere to place things inside and outside the shower stalls. The lake is pretty small; it will take 30 mins to make it all the way around by kayak. It is great they do kayak rentals for those who don't have their own and the price was affordable. We did hike some trails while there and it was fun but we added on an extra 5 miles or so when we took a wrong turn so having the trails clearly marked would help a lot with that. Would be a great day trip but not really a destination if you are looking for a more secluded camping adventure.
