Overview

Lake Marian Resort offers a classic Florida experience centered around one of the state's most productive fishing lakes. This destination provides a quiet retreat from the busy tourist centers, emphasizing a peaceful lakeside lifestyle. Visitors often come for the world-class fishing opportunities and the chance to reconnect with the natural landscapes of the Osceola County interior. It is a place where the natural beauty of Florida takes center stage for every guest.

Location & Surroundings

Located in Kenansville, Florida, the resort sits directly on the shores of Lake Marian. The surrounding area is characterized by vast prairies and cattle ranches, offering a glimpse into the region’s agricultural heritage. This remote setting ensures dark night skies and a quiet environment, making it a stark contrast to the nearby metropolitan areas of Orlando or the crowded coastal strips that define much of the state.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped for those traveling with boats and RVs. It features full hookup sites alongside a variety of rental cabins for guests without rigs. Boaters will appreciate the private boat ramp and dock space, while the onsite bait and tackle shop provides essential supplies for a day on the water. A dedicated fish cleaning station is available to help travelers prepare their daily catch for dinner.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While fishing for bass and crappie is the primary draw, the resort is a short drive from the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, which is recognized as a premier spot for stargazing and hiking. Nature enthusiasts can explore the surrounding wetlands to spot native wildlife like sandhill cranes and bald eagles. For a change of pace, the Atlantic beaches are accessible for a coastal day trip from the inland prairies.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is ideal for avid anglers and outdoor enthusiasts who prefer a rustic, authentic Florida vibe over high-end commercial resorts. It is a perfect fit for retirees or long-term travelers looking for a low-key winter base where the focus is on community, nature, and the water. If you enjoy quiet mornings on the lake and a slower pace of life, this is your ideal spot.

Lake Marian Resort | Kenansville, FL

5 stars for sunsets!
However my family used the club house for a 1st birthday and there was bugs everywhere!
Also the bathroom was disgusting. 🤮

Let me start this by saying that this place is far out from anything. Don't expect to be able to get doordash or uber out here, instacart delivers though. The nearest hospital is about 40 minutes away. Apart from that the views are beautiful as it sits right on the lake. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have public restrooms, showers, laundry, and game room. They allow fishing and boat docking.

It's not a typical "resort ".It's more of a Florida fish camp. The staff was great! Very nice. Everyone I met was very nice. Very quiet . I had a boat slip, which made daily fishing great. And the fishing was fantastic.

Manager and all team members are so helpful and kind. Our experience here has been wonderful and we will continue to return. We recommend this place for all from work reasons, families with children to snow birds. Rooms for rent for those who are here to fish, cleaning stations, a spot for your boat with gas available if you run out. Renters are very aware of children and we felt safe having them ride their scooters and having fun right outside our camper. Quiet place with good neighbors. They have a laundry room and a game room with a pool table, air hockey, darts, and more. Thank you much and God Bless.

I gave Rooms 5 stars but I live in my camper on a beautiful lot with a view of an oak hammock and pasture. Most days I see deer and turkey out there.

The lake is productive and I am dying to get my boat so I can fish.

The office staff and grounds staff are very nice. The snowbirds and long term residents are a nice little community. I have wonderful neighbors.

This great RV park resort/Campground has a new owner and management with lots of updates and improvements. There is a nice little general store and plenty of dock spaces. Great accommodations and friendly people. I would definitely recommend.
