Lots of stickers in the grassy areas. Not good for walking your dog. Other than that it was a nice camp ground. The lake has receded a lot from the camp site though.

A beautiful campground with showers that run on tokens and indoor bathrooms. Be careful, there are “puncturevine (Tribulus terrestris), also known as goathead, caltrop, or tackweed”. These are horribly painful to my dog and I. Make sure to have proper footwear and be cautious where little feet and paws step. There is also a train next to this campground, that contributes to a lot of rail noise and horns. Outside of these dreaded spicy plants this campground is great.

Dirty and unkempt. Showers are disgusting. There is only electric hookup..no water or sewer. Dump station available. Ground is covered with pricker burrs. Train runs all night. Rv was filled with small gnats and flies after a few hours.

The water levels are very low so keep that in mind as you plan your trip. This campground has a good safe path to the beach if you are walking it on foot but bring what you need for the journey if it's a hot day or you don't want to take too many trips. Clean campsites, decent bathrooms and showers are manageable!!

It is a quiet place to camp. It is a small campground compared to what it could be being at Lake McConaughey. The directions to our campground once we went through the gate were poor. We were pulling an RV and ended up on a sand dirt path and had to turn around. It is dog friendly. We didn't leave the campsite, so we didn't use any other parts of the campground.

Little Mexico in this place. Bath house and restrooms put a truck stop to shame! Very filthy with 75 flys on every roll of toilet paper. Watched people take dogs in the shower with them. They have (2) showers and one is a belly shower that doesn’t work properly. Out of state they charge you $14/car extra. We heard Latino music til 3 am with a generator running/and yes the people had power plugged into the camper. Hard pass on this place and never again

Went for the weekend and my granddaughter had a blast even tho the 1st day was crazy windy. Would like to go again with the family.

Camping fee + state fee to stay at this campground. Full hookups, with leveled sites. Poor maintained, dirty bathroom, overflowed trash bins, and too much happening with people coming and going. Felt unsafe and at arrival (6pm) our reserved site was still occupied and have to tell people that we had a reservation. 30 minutes wait for site to clear up. If you have an issue, you are given the sheriff office number. The view of the lake and white sand is incredible with ton of people camping by the lake. 20 minutes to the city.

Loved visiting and finding this hidden gem. The lake reminded me of a West coast beach. A less crowded version of Pismo Beach. Just because of the White sands, camping on the beach. We were here mid week in August and there were only a few campers. I called to make a reservation but you can also reserve online. You have to pay the day fee at the kiosk when you enter. Since they were closed by 6 (we got here at 7) we grabbed an envelope and paid this way instead. Highly recommend and we will be back!

This was a accidental find that turned out to be amazingly significant in our trip out west. Be sure your four wheel drive is working to drive down the beach and find your spot of Nebraska paradise. This was beyond anything I thought of that existed in Nebraska. A giant wow of a surprise Oasis of fun just quietly waiting for us to stumble upon in our yearly September road trip. This place was clean and well taken care of and the beach you don't get that at unless you are sitting on a ocean beach ...
