Amenities & Park Features

The campground features well-spaced sites equipped with water and electric hookups, accommodating a variety of RV sizes from small campers to large rigs. While sewer hookups are not available at individual sites, a convenient dump station is located within the park for guest use. Visitors have access to clean restrooms, hot showers, and a dedicated swimming beach that is perfect for cooling off during the Texas summer. For those bringing watercraft, the park provides multiple boat ramps and a fishing pier, making it easy to transition from the campsite to the water in minutes.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Fishing is the primary draw here, with the lake being a well-known hotspot for trophy bass and crappie. Beyond the water, visitors can explore the brick-paved streets of Jefferson to enjoy boutique shopping and narrated historical tours of the town's steamboat-era architecture. A short drive leads to the mysterious cypress swamps of Caddo Lake State Park, offering a completely different ecosystem to explore via canoe or kayak. These nearby excursions provide a perfect balance of cultural history and additional outdoor recreation for those staying at Alley Creek.

We are staying on E 100 area , the bathroom has a hole in the roof , they smell like dead fish and the worst thing is there is a major ant infestation around the camp sites , I talked to a friend and he had this same problem a couple of months ago in June , I figured they would have been spraying and taking care of the ant problem by now , my wife had ants all in her vehicle and they were all in the camper , this is unacceptable , I understand that there will be insects while camping but this is the worst I have ever seen.

This is our third year out here for spring break. It's cold. Very cold. ❄️❄️❄️ We bring our LLB sleeping bags rated for 40°, and we still sleep in our clothes, and are still freezing. But, it is entirely worth it! I will never go to the beach for spring break again. It is incredibly beautiful out here. After a cold night, temperatures can climb into short and t-shirt weather. The camp spots are perfect. The tent plots are perfect. The sand is flat or mostly flat, and the sand is great for tent stakes; it is fairly easy to hammer into and holds stakes well. Bring hand soap. The bathrooms/showers are always stocked with toilet paper, but they do not put soap and will remove it if you leave it in there. Boat noise can be distracting if you are looking for total peace, but the farther away you are from the boat ramp, the less noise you'll get. Cell phone service is fairly decent but don't expect to stream videos and music. Bring firewood and fire starters if you plan on making a fire. Wind can be a problem for starting a fire and using a camp stove is next to impossible.

Great park to camp in. Reservations are easy to make online and the camp is clean and well maintained. The lots are great if a little too close together. That said, everyone was polite and quiet so it worked out fine. I would stay here again.
