By far the best campground we've been to! We've been camping here for three years now and won't camp anywhere else. The owners and their family are some of the best people I know! Aaron, Jessica, Kandi, Aaliyah, Evan, and Isaiah put an enormous amount of time, energy, and thoughtfullness into their campground. They have now owned this campground for four years, and I'm impressed at all the additions added for their guests' enjoyment. To name a few... a new pavilion where they host all sorts of events and activities, paddleboard rentals, Ruby the Duck, a dog park, the ice cream shop (amazing, by the way!), and I've heard a new court is coming!! You'll have to visit to find out what kind of court! ;) I've been to other campgrounds, but I've never been to one that is so focused on a family-friendly environment. The number of activities they have for the kiddos is remarkable! My daughter absolutely loves the beach party (music, beach balls, rubber ducks), the tile painting and shirt tye-dying. They have dance parties, bingo, music bingo, poker runs, all sorts of activities for the young and old ;). You must stay over the 4th of July - they put on the BEST firework show!! You won't be disappointed! The grounds are some of the cleanest I've seen. They continue to update restrooms and showers. The attention to cleanness is impressive, one of the first things I noticed when we first started coming here. Above all is the safety of the campground. Aaron and Jessica ensure the safety of all their guests is the number one priority. We've never felt safer letting our daughter roam a campground. Yes, going 5 mph is agonizing (lol), but really, why are you in a hurry? Slow down, and ensure the safety of all around you, and enjoy your time at Lake Schneppaho. You won't regret your stay. Thank you for providing us with lasting memories that we will forever cherish. It won't be long until you see us again! We already miss being there!!

Our space was absolutely perfect. Had a nice breeze off the "lake". Plenty of shade. A bit loud as it was Bike Week, but it was alright. Super relaxing and will definitely be back!

It's very clean, has these cool patio things if you're on the lake, and the showers work surprisingly well for a campground. Warm water that lasts a good amount of minutes with only one push of the button. Plus, the playground and swimming area is cool. They've also got a water trampoline, but I didn't get a picture. Edit: I read some of the other reviews here, and it seems like some of the sites are close enough to the highway to hear the vehicles on it. I personally had an amazing experience (I was not at one of those sites and I don't remember hearing the highway at all during my stay) but if anyone is looking to stay here and happens to be bothered by that kind of thing, my advice would be to double check and make sure you've booked one away from the highway :) Overall it was a very enjoyable vacation and we had loads of fun! I would definently come again.

Love this place, staff are amazing, grounds are clean. So much for the kids to do and tons of fish. Loved this place so much we extended our stay from just a weekend to the whole week.

In love with how this place is! We were just trying to find a spot to camp and came open this location (this was three years ago) and now I see they have new renovations and can't wait to go back this summer! We enjoyed swimming and just being around a great environment. As soon as we got there we were greeted and everyone was friendly and respectful. Honestly super excited to go back!

I made a reservation and need to cancel. This is may 5. Clearly within their cancellation guidelines as the reservation is for august. I was told the owners needed to be contacted and someone would get back to me. I have left messages via phone call and emailed for over a week and no response and no refund. Though I did get a cancellation email over a week ago. Terrible customer service.

My family loved our stay. Camp neighbors were all courteous and respectful of each other and the staff was super friendly.Our kids enjoyed the swim area and the ability to sign out basketballs and ping pong paddles for uses in the games are. Both of my boys caught a pile of Bluegill and I grabbed a few nice bass while fishing the lake. The shower/restroom amenities were always clean and there was rarely any kind of wait.

This place is our favorite campground. Family oriented everyone is welcomed. Lots of activities for the kids. Holidays they make so much fun. The only thing they ask is that you follow the rules. They are simple rules keep an eye on your kids, follow the dog rules, drive 5mph in the campground etc. respect them and their property so nothing too crazy. This is our little slice of heaven!

We visited Lake Sch-Nepp-A-Ho Campground from August 4th to 6th. There was a lot of positives with our stay and a few negatives that made it a little tricky to enjoy. The Positives: The park is advertised as a family run campground. The owners and staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The park includes a large park, A beach with a gradual incline, and a sandy bottom A volleyball net, horseshoes and other game area The tent campsites include a fire pit and a picnic table some even included water and electric. The park has its own lake and some campsites are able to fish right from their site around the lake which was awesome for some relaxing times. The owners also run activities for the families every saturday. When we were there they had tile painting in the morning and a huge beach party in the evening for families with a foam party. They gave children, rubber duckies, beach balls and flower lei's. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcome. The negatives: Our campsite, while we made it work, when we got there we were not sure how to make feasible. Our campsite was 3/4 hill and all dirt/sand. No grass at all. With a little maneuvering we used 1/4 of our site and had our tent directly next to our car and the picnic table directly next to that as well. Leaving very little room to move or spread out. However, it was not too bad. The dirt was a little much and we had hoped to have some grass. This park does have some campsite with a lovely grass gradual slope. We just were not on one of those sites. We will choose better next time when booking. When booking we had to fill out how many people would be there and had to agree to strict rules. We purchased our wood ahead of time and on our receipt it stated our wood would be waiting for us at our campsite. This did not happen. When we arrived for check in we were told to go collect our wood from a pile. We put it in our car and immediately at least 50 bugs and ants were knocked out of the piles into our car....Not a pleasant start. thank goodness we were able to brush them out with the handheld brush we brought. The second negative is the washroom facilities. They have one brick and mortar facility so far away from the tent sites that it was not useable with a 4 year old at 4 in the morning. They also have a trailer restroom that was also too far away from the tent sites late in the evening. The campground does have port a johns around the park, which we thought was a plus until we tried to use them. They were full the entire time we were there and so dirty. The owners have replied that they check them several times a day, however they were never clean enough for a woman or child to actually use. The other bathrooms were spotless and I feel that the owners are doing there best to maintain and upgrade the park. We did experience some unpleasantness with neighbors checking in well after the 9pm check in time. A group with 4 tents when it specifically says 2 tents per site, were setting up until well after midnight. They were respectful but it was just unpleasant, we reported to the owner the over crowding but at that point we were a little tired and really not happy about the restroom situation. We left the campground for the day to enjoy Michigan Adventures Amusement park, that was not on our original agenda. The group did move some of their tents to a nearby site in the evening right before bed but at that point it was saturday evening and we were leaving sunday morning, so really no point. However, the fact that the owners, responded to our concern is a real plus and made us feel heard. Overall I gave the campground an updated 3 stars as I feel it is overcrowded with no nature and a very loud highway right behind the tent sites and I feel if they had one more trailer rest room with showers near the back row of campsites it would greatly improve the quality. The owners and staff are great, they are working really hard to make sure all of their campers are having a great time and upgrading as they can.

Great place for quiet family camping. Small lake to fish or swim, and a playground for the kids. Very friendly staff. Forgot to bring hoses to empty gray and black tanks from the camper. They let me come back the next day (I live close by) to dump them, and even took the time to show me how. We'll be going back again.

Excellent customer service. Place was clean and well run with lots of amenities and activities! Site was nice and shady. Nice view of the lake and we had our own fire pit. Got to ride around in the little paddle boat, which was fun! Great location right off the highway and minutes from downtown Muskegon. Not far from Silver Lake Dunes either!

Profiling. I have never been treated with such disrespect. On the second day of my stay I was leaving the campground and the owner stopped me and said "You're going WAY too fast" as if I were going 10+mph. I was polite and said "I apologize. I didn't realize that." I wasn't about to get into it and the fact that I never went over the speed limit. When I returned to the park I went to the store to get something. Keep in mind this is only an extra 2 min of driving in the park after she talked to us earlier. The lady came out AGAIN. She said, with a condescending manner, "Yeah, so my warning didn't work earlier. I'm gonna need you to park your car up by the store and you can walk from your site if you need anything from it." I was thinking, there was no "warning' earlier. Just her claiming we were speeding. But again I wasn't going to debate my speed with her because I could tell she wasn't listening to me. So I asked "Well can my boyfriend drive this vehicle if you think I'm going too fast?" And, I can't make this up, she said "No, the car is out!" Like the car was grounded lol. There was no reason my boyfriend couldn't have driven the car if she felt I was going too fast. I don't like feeling this way, but I personally felt profiled with the way this woman handled the situation. I am not Caucasian, and I felt like she was targeting me without being reasonable or understanding. She didn't give me a chance to speak. I have little brothers and sisters and am EXTREMELY cautious when it comes to the safety of everyone, especially kids. So just the fact that she was so quick to take extreme action was unfair. Worst experience I have ever had at a campground.

Me and my boyfriend Eric just spent our second time here and we stayed a week and once again it was absolutely amazing we got to relax have fun the owners are wonderful the people that work here are great it's clean quiet everybody's friendly and they bend over backwards to make sure that your time here is awesome I love love this place I love love this place!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
