Went to visit the native plant garden, which was started and planted about a year ago. This are was burned in the huge LNU complex fire of 2020 (the one that led to the famous orange day in San Francisco.

A peaceful oasis in the California countryside! Lake Solano County Park is a true hidden gem—beautiful lake views, shady oak trees, and calm waters make it the perfect spot for a relaxing day out. The picnic areas are spacious and well-shaded, with plenty of tables for family gatherings, and the short trails along the shoreline are easy and scenic (great for walking or spotting wildlife). We loved watching the peacocks roam freely (their calls add such a fun, exotic vibe!), plus abundant birds like herons and eagles make it a birdwatcher's dream. Catch-and-release fishing is excellent (barbless lures only), and the non-motorized boat launch/kayak rentals are a highlight in season. Clean restrooms, friendly staff, and a quiet, natural feel—$6 day-use fee is totally worth it. Ideal for picnics, nature escapes, or just unwinding by the water. Highly recommend this beautiful park near Winters!

Very nice campsites some with a good distance between them. Many of the campsites have water and power.

We tried kayaking here this year and absolutely fell in love! The people are all so nice and helpful! It’s a very calm areas with lots to see if your looking! Rene helped us check in and rent the kayaks and made it so much fun for the kids offering coloring after we came back from our day on the lake.

I stopped by here on my way back to Oregon for the night, and I am glad I did. Not only is the area beautiful and quiet but the campground is also very well maintained and clean. The camp host is super friendly and helpful. There are lots of spaces to choose from either by the river or up a hill that's a little more secluded. Prices vary on which type of spot you get. Since I chose a spot with an electrical outlet (3 prong), it was $40 a night. If you choose just a dry spot, it's $30.00. The really nice spots are $50.00. There are 2 restrooms with showers (free!), electrical outlets, fire pits, picnic tables, a dump station, water, and trash dumpsters. Oh yeah, and then there are some temporary peacocks as pets! The only thing I feel needed a little help was the shower area. It's not too user-friendly, but still, it's a free shower with hot water. Overall, I think it's a great place to camp, and I will be utilizing this campground from now on with my trips to and from California. Just know it is a first come, first serve campground.

Beautiful scenery and fun water activities. The water is cold even in the hot summers days, but the boat rental services were convenient, including kayak and canoes.

Park closing at 4pm at this moment. Visited on Wednesday, super quiet. Bring some corn kernels to feed peacocks and squirrels

I love Lake Solano. The peacocks are beautiful. They wander all around the park. The park is clean and the staff is wonderful.

Friendly staff camp host was gracious. I came in the spring during the week not a lot of people and I had a great time view of the stars. Here is beautiful.

Nice place to walk. Campground on one side and day use park on the other. During a season, kayaks and canoes are available to rent and go on the lake. Beautiful trail and area. There is a $6 cash day use parking fee. They check regularly so make sure you pay or you will get a ticket.

Very nice atmosphere. Some of the facilities are showing age but it is a very nice place to camp. It'll be better when covid is over and the nature center and programs return.

Best small campground in the county. Putah creek runs right along the eastern side of the park. Showers are hot. Spaces are decent sized. Not many people were up past 11pm. So it was really quiet and you could here a s'mores drop. The stars were lit up and you could actually see the milky way with your bare eyes.

Nice place If you want to camp in an RV but the water wasn't what I expected I would never swim in it and plus there is no beach for the little ones to play.
