Had such an amazing experience. Our archery instructor Dominic was so vibrant and knowledgeable!!!

Camping in rv. They are in process of updating the section i was in. Laying new water lines. The bathrooms were clean but felt mildew due to not alot of campers because of them working on the campgrounds. I was in section b. Section c looks like they are done with updates. I stayed November 2025. All the spots are big. All the trees are big offering alot of shade. I will be back. Loved it.

Clean facilities, great RV sites, check in was a breeze. Plenty of amenities! Will be back.

The weather was good.  The Cottages were roomy and clean. They are older so make sure you bring adapters to charge  all your electronics. The pontoon ride was so much fun. Very nice picnic area. Lots of room for kids to play.

My family and I enjoyed our visit and stay at the campground at Lakepoint State Patk. This was our first visit. We visited in mid-July. The campground was not crowded. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. It did not seem very busy or overcrowded, which we  enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are 2 restaurants onsite; one at the marina and one at the lodge. The one at the marina was closed and was not open for the year. The one at the lodge is open. The breakfast buffet is good, but I did not care too much for the lunch buffet.

I've been to several state parks throughout the state, and this one, by far, has been the most disappointing.  The playground/picnic area was very small, and the roads were okay.  There was not a lot of activity (boat or fishing), which made it feel a bit desolate. On another note, the views were great.

It's beautiful here. The lodge here is incredible.  They have a pool it's kid and dog friendly the bath house is OK. They have hiking and motorized trails.
For being a state park upkeep cpuld of been alot better.
The lodge is very nice They have cottages that is worth renting.
Also they have boat launches at the lodge area and also within the park. You can go fishing
. They have catfish and crappie  and nice size one you can clean and eat

We stayed here throughout the week and really enjoyed our stay. We love traveling to state parks, and this was our first in Alabama. I am not sure what Alabama parks are normally like, but from visiting multiple in Tennessee and Georgia, we were a little disappointed that the park was so small and did not have that much to do. There was no playground or picnic tables and grills, a visitor center and gift shop. There is the marina store to get a lot of fishing supplies, snacks, etc. The woman who checked us in was wonderful. I didn't catch her name but she was so sweet and so helpful...actually everyone we dealt with was. All of the staff were wonderful. Our first room we were given was not cleaned, and she got us in another room. The locks on the door do seem a bit old, so we kept having to work with the card to get it open. The room itself was a typical hotel room. nothing super great but nothing bad. We were very excited to use the pool, especially because it is so hot. The pool felt amazing. Pools don't seem to be a big priority in state parks and as soon as one has any kind of trouble, it just gets shut down, so I always love when a park keeps theirs going. Having alligators in the lake means no swimming, so the pool was a lifesaver in this heat. The hours were only from 10 to 8, which was a little disappointing because we really love to swim before bed. They also closed the pool up for storms, which was completely fine, but they wouldn't open it back up when the storm passed. There were several short storms that would pass after 30 minutes to an hour, all week long. And several times when it would pass and be sunny again, we would go to the pool and it would be locked. The park has a lot of places to walk around and view the lake's edge, so we were able to see so much wildlife. We saw a few gators, lots of different birds, a baby armadillo, and more. The park is roughly 20 minutes from town, restaurants and grocery stores, so we did have to do quite a bit of driving back and forth.

We certainly enjoyed our time here. All of the staff was very friendly and worked very hard to keep the facilities and grounds looking very nice.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Upgraded us for free when the first boat had a dead battery. Clean facilities. Good tackle and bait shop. Would recommend.

The entire place is well maintained to include the park, and campgrounds.

Our RV Club outta Montgomery Alabama use the rv site for the weekend its was a joy easy access, the other campers wasz friendly.
Its a great place to camp.... The restaurant was great the food was great,  etc ...

Got a very good deal on their Wednesday night special.  Not to bad but meat could be a little better.  Great service and didn't have to wait that long.

Absolutely love staying here. We come to fish and rent a cottage to stay in . Lake Point is a great place to stay conveniently located to town. Everyone is super nice! We will see you soon Lake Point!
