Lakeroad Village RV Park

Definitely not at all what the web site shows. A run down trailer park and poorly kept rv sites. You get what you pay for. The only plus was the people were very nice.

Good location, friendly and helpful people, and good rates, and we love that it is so close to beautiful Thousand Hills State Park!

This was a very convenient and nice little stop for us. It is under new management and they were working diligently to make the lots nicer. They even trimmed a tree so I could safely pull through my 39’ Tiffin coach. Full hook ups and very close to both 1000 Hills and all of Kirksville. We will plan to stay again when we see family. Thanks, Mark

This is a RV park / Mobil Home community where there are permanent residence and rental units. RV slots are miss numbered so you will need assistance finding your spot, also the area could use a lot of love.

WIFI is always available to all of our RV guests and it’s populates as LakeroadVillage WiFi and you would just need to ask for the password if you don’t get it in your confirmation for booking. We are very sorry about not having the 2 restroom stalls and the other 2 showers open and available for our guests. There is restroom and shower facilities next to the laundry room that are in perfect working order and with most guests using the restrooms in there RV’s we have not had any complaints regarding needing more restroom stalls or showers in operation. We will be replacing the bad water heater this week as we don’t want anyone not being able to use our public restrooms/showers and we understand that happy campers make for a better park overall.

Website describes a much nicer Campground. It has all the things it states, but much older condition. Two of the doors that say restrooms are locked. It makes for a night stay over not a week destination. The booking site claims wifi and that isn't offered.

Lakeroad Village RV Park has new ownership and management as of last month. Huge improvements have been made to the park and its amenities. Paved roads are nice and resurfaced and the overall camp ground has been completely cleaned up and the RV spaces are really Nice and Pull through spaces are huge. Lots of trees in the park and it makes you feel like your out in the county yet only a couple minutes to town. HUGE IMPROVEMENT overall!!!

This is just a old mobile home park with a few RV sites available. Staff was friendly utilities worked as they should site was level gravel. We needed a place to sit out a storm and this fit the bill.

I called to ask about reservations and they were very professional and friendly. They have a good rate and offer mailbox access. The grounds are kept very clean and level. We can't wait to get there next month!

This is an old former mobile home park. Many permanent residents and many run down mobile homes and campers. Each site has a full hookup, but not very well kept. Very little shade. The showers and bathrooms were clean, but nothing fancy. $40 a night with few amenities. The staff was friendly.

Ill try to be fair here, if your working in the area, or just passing through and need a place to stay, and you're not really concerned with amenities, this place would be a fine option. If on the other hand you would like anything even remotely consistent with some kind of camping, this is not the place for you. It's essentially a mobile home park with some RV spaces, no park, no playground, no fire pits, no frills.

Really nice owner, worked with us great. Easy to get in and out. Brought us a cable box (Amen!). Big pull thru spots. Single shower but has great pressure and heat. Bathrooms also.
