Welcoming staff and beautiful campground with views of Lake Michigan and the Mackinaw Bridge! Private rocky beach to view the Bridge! We arrived after the office closed but they had a detailed map of where our Yurt was! Thank you to Emily and Alicia for being so helpful! We all felt right at home, especially our dog Charli Girl! She loved the yurt! We enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit, cooking hotdogs and enjoying the fresh air! Thanks again! We will be back!

This is our third time at this campground and we really enjoy staying here. Water view sites are a little small but enjoyable. Pull through sites are nice. Tent sites are nice and the yurts look to be pretty nice as well. The bathrooms and showers are clean. There is a pavilion available. The Camp office/store has the necessities you may need; phone chargers, phone cords, contact lens cases and solution, bug spray and lip balm among other things. Firewood available for purchase. The beach access is across the road where you can see the Big Mac Bridge, St. Helen island, Mackinaw City and Lake Michigan at your feet. The beach is a rock beach but very relaxing. If you are planning to go to Mackinaw Island you can call Sheplers Ferry after you buy tickets online and they will send a shuttle to come pick you up from the campground and take you to the boarding dock and bring you back when you leave the Island; better than paying $15 a day to use their parking lot. Dump station is in the back of the campground but just about every site has full hookup; the hookups may be a bit awkward and you will most likely need an extension for electrical at the water view backup sites. Camped host (Bob) is a very nice guy and office staff are very friendly. Great location for a travel hub to see many things for a day trip or just chill in the area.

We had a waterview RV site with full hookups (30/50 amp electric, water, sewer, WIFI). Sites are tight but manageable and the view is nice. WIFI bandwidth is like being on dial-up...really poor, but there is a good 4G/5G cell signal, so plan on using your phone as a hotspot. The beach access is across the street with great views of the Mighty Mac as well as sunsets and ships. Picnic tables were new and lightweight (easy to move). The people working there were nice and courteous. The downside is the bathrooms/showers, which look like they were built in 1960 using leftover materials. No ventilation but they do have paper towel. One of the cleaning staff indicated the owners are planning to renovate the bathrooms, which would be the minimum needed. Really needs a tear down and replacement. Bottom line: for a RV, this is a pretty nice place. If you're a tent camper, the bathrooms at the state park are better.

Sites are a little close but not bad at all. The beach is just a short walk & is very nice. Bathrooms are clean but could use a little update. Nice park! A plus, Sheplers will bring a shuttle to pick you up & bring you back if you are riding the ferry to Mackinac Island.

The office staff are delightful and this is the first time I've ever used the word delightful in a review but, I kid you not, they delighted me. The sites are a bit tight but the view of the Straits of Mackinaw makes up for it. I've been traveling for several weeks and this is the first full hook up I've had since I left home so I'm pretty happy about that. Also, I had a lot of laundry to do and the prices for the laundry facility were very reasonable. I'm in the third row of the campground and am enjoying a view of the water. The private beach offers a stunning view of the Mackinac Bridge. You MUST walk down there after dark to enjoy the bridge when it's lit up. I will say, the bathroom/shower house at the back of the property could use some renovation but the one bath/shower attached to the office is really nice. There is a great space in front of the back bathrooms that has picnic tables and plastic curtains to block the wind and it is awesome. My only complaint would be the condition of the back bathroom/shower facility. It could be cleaner and it needs some repair.
