The food at the restaurant shouldn't even be served at a nursing home. It was so bad I wanted to get drunk just to finish it. Only here's the kicker, you can't get drunk or even tipsy at this place. They have oz only drinks for 7-8 a pop. AVOID this geriatric nightmare of a casino.

Large, comfortable rooms with a nice lakeside view. Nice casino. Buffet at the restaurant was great with a lot of choices. Only negative was the peeling wallpapernin the bathroom.

I had a great time! The casino was not overly crowded, the people were really friendly. The slots were some of the best I've played! I played on 5 different slots over a period of 2½hrs and did well on each one. They let you play and enjoy the experience. Best part was I left with more money than I came with! All around good experience and looking forward to going back.

You need to go into this informed. For somebody it might be wonderful, but not for me. If you want to smoke in your room, it must be great. My room came with two ash trays and a smell of stale smoke. I don’t smoke. There was massive dust behind the side tables. Otherwise, the room was clean. I went to dinner, and they have a very simple menu consisting of marginal bar food. Good enough, but not what I was expecting. The small casino gobbled up my $35 in about two minutes. The machines said one cent. Must be an Iowa thing. Again, smoke central. I’m not sensitive to smoke, but somebody that is needs to know. The resort fee is uncalled for. Breakfast isn’t included. If you’re looking for a normal casino experience or an entertaining place to stay on the road, probably not ideal. If you’re a smoker with a simple palate, and understand the arcane nature of Iowa gaming, you may like it. The RV park looked really nice though.

A lovely place! Pretty cheap for the quality and size of the room I stayed in, and every staff member I met was very polite and professional. We made a last-minute change to ask to stay an additional night, and were allowed and even got to stay in the same room! The room was spacious, and the thermostat allowed us to turn it down to 58°, which was very appreciated! We ate at the restaurant both days, the buffet the first day and the regular menu the next. The buffet was very nice; while there weren't many options, what was there was delicious. The regular menu could have had more options as well, especially as the food was the most expensive part of the trip. But both waitresses I had were very kind, and one even helped me find a better deal for my order. The pool was clean and well-maintained, and not very busy at all. I accidentally left my headphones down by the spa, and the front desk had them when I asked! I was very grateful.

RV park is full of goose droppings, our RV spot was covered with grass clippings..from the lawn mower. Restaurant stunk like cigarette smoke. We each ordered an old fashion at the bar/restaurant it was so watered down you couldn’t taste any booze.. (an old fashion is pretty much all booze.) We ordered chicken wings, chicken tenders and fries were mediocre at best and we never got the dipping sauce that we ordered even though we asked our server twice for it. Needless to say we left most of it on the table. And won’t be back anytime soon.

I've always had a rough time at this place but the last time it was fun. I really enjoyed myself so I'm giving them five stars. Some places I go across the country. You just never win when you go in there but I had a blast so they get five stars sometimes. I just be waiting for that one time but I literally have some casinos on the never again list like I will never go again

Went to Iowa to visit my sister and we went to Lakeside Hotel Casino. I was there both Friday night and Saturday night. The place is not huge like the casinos in New Jersey but has just what you need. Lots of slots, tables, bar and really great people. Everyone was so friendly!!! I will definitely be back and you should all check out the place!!!! You will have a good time win or lose !!!!!!

My aunts stayed here. The mattresses both had a water stain around all edges. At check out, an iron was requested and they said sure we'll have one brought right up to your room. It was never brought up, but there was an iron in the room already. The room was very nice and roomy. The casino was filled with smoke and even down the hallway where you can eat. My lungs could not take the smoke. So I left that part.

We stopped in here on our way back to Wisconsin. The rooms were fabulous, and the staff at the hotel was AMAZING! We loved that we were able to still get smoking rooms as it was so cold and windy outside. We wish we would have had time to enjoy the pool area, but like I said we were on our way back home. The buffet we had for dinner was also fantastic!! What a variety! At some times we did have to wait for food to be refilled. Almost half an hour things sat empty. They were busy, but you would think they would still have food ready to go as it was so busy. Food and service was great otherwise! The casino was small, but boy was it hopping! We received a free gift for joining the players club, which was great, along with the free play. This is only 9 hours away from home for us, btu we will definitely be back on a mini getaway! They also have an RV park, that we will bring our RV to in the summer time. LOVED this place!!
