The cave was amazing, very long and big. You need to take a flashlight to fully enjo. The light on our phones were just not enough. Hearing about how they formed was very interesting and to think the lava flow was so thick is just hard to comprehend.

Great easy hike thru a cave that highlights volcanic history. It's free to visit- Bring good flash lights and good shoes. It's just a short hike but very rough footing.

is is a very unique attraction. The cave has no lighting, so be sure to bring a flashlight. You can either walk to the end and return the same way, or continue through to the exit and make your way back to the parking lot.

Very interesting and unique experience. It’s part of the park. Plenty of parking. The hike itself over to the cave entrance is short, the hike in the caves is not far and the walk out the cave to the parking lot is a bit longer than the first walk in but not long at all. Was there for about 30 minutes total. Pretty cool to walk down and see it get dark. We only had our phones flashlights and it was fine. We walked at a normal pace and it didn’t take us long at all. A def stop if you are on the north side of the park.

A nice short adventure, there are bathrooms but no water resources. There are stairs leading to and from the cave itself so there is no option for handicap access. The cave goes straight through, it is slightly chilly inside the cave for anyone bringing small children. The ground inside is very uneven so watch your step. There are plaques through out to tell you about how it was formed. IMPORTANT: it is best to bring multiple flash lights one per person or a spot light which is what we used. Once you are inside it is pitch black! With the ground being uneven the more light you have the better.

What a cool and unique experience The outside offers good views of the surrounding mountains while the cave isn’t large but offers an out of the world experience with the pitch black inside. I’d recommending brining a strong additional light source, we had two phones and a led flashlight and could’ve used a larger flashlight. Overall, it doesn’t take long to walk through but a must visit if you’re in the area given its only 20 minutes from Lassen

Had a great experience walking through the caves. Felt eerie at first but it is completely safe to walk inside. Very kid friendly. Please consider taking torches inside. The entire walk can take just 10mins . No tickets. Free entry and free parking

Fun place to visit for every age. To get into the caves, there are a couple flights of stairs with handrails. The tubes are 1/3 mile long, and at parts the ground is a bit uneven, but nothing too tricky if you’re watching your step. Then there’s a pretty hike back to the parking lot above ground with spectacular views of Mt Lassen. :) Well worth the stop.

Very cool place, we were just passing by and decided to check it out, it was hot when we went and the tube's were a lot cooler inside and it felt great. At cooler times you might want to take a coat, you can go in either side and go out the other. Each person SHOULD have a GOOD flashlight, it's dried lava and there are many tripping hazards. Not wheelchair accessible. Entry is free.

This was a very unique experience. It's a short hike to the entrance of the tube/cave. Definitely much cooler then the summer heat outside. It's dark, very dark, very very dark inside. Make sure to bring a good flashlight (or two). The floor is a little uneven so be careful where you step.
