Beautiful park. We mostly drove through looking. We stopped at an area we walked down to lake. Beautiful marina and restaurant. Nice boat slips and launches. Swimming area. Picnic area with tables. Walking trails. Great for walking or biking. Highly recommended

The LBL is such an amazing piece of untouched land. There are so much vastness here of just nature and wilderness. We spent 4 days overlanding all through the LBL and exploring the untouched wilderness. We would take our off-road vehicles, and drive down empty dirt roads just to find out if there’s any beautiful campsites at the end. Many roads will end right on the water, into a beautiful campsite.

Took the trail at hematite lake 2.2 miles was an easy trail if you can walk over 2 miles. There was a 5ree down on the trail but it was easily gone around. Definitely will be back . Great place for family fun . There is a map at the trail head along with a QR code to get a map of the trail on your phone.

A great place! The Hillman Ferry campground is fantastic and has many fun things to do. The bathrooms are clean and shower facilities are nice too. The biking paths could use some maintenance and the bike path maps should be updated. The bison and elk reserve is amazing. What a great experience.

Stayed here for two days in the campground: Taylor Bay. For my first time in Kentucky, I enjoyed this a ton. Beautiful sights, tons of activities, and good camping. I went on one of the hiking trails, visited the planetarium, and the nature station. Land Between the Lakes has to be one of my favorite state parks so far.

Some places are a little overgrown. Some of the trails need a little work but we have had a lot of rain come through lately. I caught what I'm pretty sure were some smaller Northern Pike. That was definitely a first for me

Visited Hematite lake, 2.2 mile hike around it. The trail has many roots it is clearly marked. We also visited the Coal Furnace. Very cool sites. The visitors center is very nice and has a gift shop and planetarium. Shows are running from 10-4pm. The center closes at 5pm.

GREAT place for a family get away!! We went to the Elk and Bison range and saw lots of bison and several turkeys and their young ones. We enjoyed an awesome movie in the planetarium about our night sky, wildlife, and constellation identification. And, then we visited the Nature Station with their Red Tail Hawk, wolves, coyote, owls, and hummingbirds. There is also a 1850's working farm and various picnic areas and numerous other outdoor activities....😊

One of the coolest parks I've ever been to. I have visited several times and each time I discover something new. Really awesome longer trails for experienced hikers as well as shorter kid friendly trails with lots of wildlife. Surrounded by water and some of the most beautiful sunset watching spots I've been to. Great fishing spots everywhere too and very dog friendly.
