One of the best campgrounds I've stayed at. I highly recommend this place for a community feel. The grounds were packed, celebrating seasonally, campers moving between sites as best camping friends. It was a lovely weekend away.

The campground is well taken care of. Very clean, with long sites for bigger campers. Patty was very nice and we enjoyed talking with her. It's a shame we were not able to stay more than one night.

Just wrapped up a 3-day stay at the Lena KOA and it was a great little getaway. The cabin we stayed in was spotless, and the air conditioning kept things perfectly cool even in the August heat. The pool was a definite highlight—clean, fun, and a great way to relax. The campground had a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, with nicely maintained landscaping that added to the charm. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There’s not much to do in the surrounding area, but if you’re looking for a relaxing break in a clean, well-run campground, this is a solid choice.

5-Star Review of Lena KOA Holiday – Cabin Stay We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Lena KOA Holiday in our cozy cabin, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and made check-in a breeze. The cabin was spotless, charming, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay—comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchenette, and even a cute porch to enjoy the serene surroundings. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, from the sparkling pool to the fun game room for the kids. The peaceful, wooded setting gave us the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, with nearby trails and attractions just a short drive away. The entire experience felt like a home away from home, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit to Lena KOA Holiday!

I was a bit nervous making the reservation… I had never heard of Lena, Illinois though I’m a lifelong Illinois girl. Let me just tell you that by the time we left I had booked another weekend and signed up to be on a wait list for a permanent spot. I fell in love with this campground and will cherish the memories we made this Labor Day weekend. From the moment we pulled in I knew I had found something special and a place we would come back to for years to come. This campground feels wonderfully nostalgic yet it’s very up-to-date, it is meticulously clean and the grounds are kept nearly perfect. Staff and permanent guests are so very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The owner is very present and you can tell he loves what he does. Prices were fair and I NEVER felt the price gorging and extra charges so many other campgrounds have resorted to. My kids have been to MANY campgrounds but by the time we left they were saying this was their favorite! (My little guy asked to have his next birthday there.) This campground is for family, friends and a lifetime of memories! If you are thinking about booking a stay, give it a try, you will not regret it!

We had a amazing time, even though the weather didn’t cooperate! My son has Autism. He was so comfortable and peaceful while there. We stayed 2 nights in a cabin and it was great! The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Tons of flowers and trees, that they worked hard on the upkeep daily. Very friendly and accommodating. We will be back in the fall💜 Thank you!
