Very happy with the camping experience here at West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA Journey. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Well stocked campstore (although closes at 5pm M-F). Nice pool. Very clean facilities. Very close to beaches, stores and dining. To note: they do not allow open camp fires. It is very cool to hear the lions and chimps as you are riught next to the safari.

Great KOA, attached to the lion country safari. One of our favorite and regular campsites. We have made multiple trips to this KOA, nice sites and amenities, great staff. This was originally our test voyage campsite when we bought our camper a few years back. It’s just far enough out but still near anything you may need. Our last trip there we skipped the safari, since we have done it like 5 times , instead we drove up to Lake Okeechobee, to do some site seeing. Nice camp site , well kept and you can hear the lions and Monkeys from your campsite.

Planned stop on our three week RV trip around FL. We were not impressed for what we paid. Sites were a mix of gravel, grass and dirt and while spacing for us on the driver's side was spacious, on the passenger side it was tight. Very nice store with helpful staff. The bath house was clean (there was only one which for a Park this size was not adequate in our view). You are next door to Safari Land and you can hear the lions roar. Staying at the Park does get you a discount into Safari Land ($30 per person). Shops and restaurants are a short drive away. We camped at West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA Journey in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at the RV lot from Thursday to Sunday and were impressed by how well-maintained the bathrooms were—they were cleaned multiple times a day. One of the most unique aspects of this campground is waking up to the sound of lions roaring at 5 AM and hearing monkeys and other animals from the nearby zoo throughout the day. It truly feels like the wildlife is right behind you. However, the campground lacks amenities for children. While there is a small playground, a shuffleboard, a basketball hoop, and a volleyball court, these areas were mostly occupied by senior citizens over the weekend, leaving little space for kids to play. It felt more like a 55+ community than a family-friendly destination. That said, the zoo next door was fantastic for kids and ended up being the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, due to the lack of kid-friendly activities at the campground, we won’t be returning.

What a magical place! You really can hear the lions roar!! The staff is warm and welcoming - We stayed in an RV but the cabins looked charming. All hook-ups and lot facilities were clean, in excellent working order and easy to work with. The Pool was amazing - lots of chairs, lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas - all in clean and excellent condition! Bathrooms spotless and roomy. This was my second stay at the park and it was even more wonderful than was the first!! I'll be back!

We are locals here in Palm Beach County. Arrived on Tuesday for 2 days in our Motorhome just to have a little "staycation!" Well it has been such a terrible experience we decided to stay two more night. And by terrible I obviously mean amazing. This little community of campers brings so many amazing families, with a healthy combination of locals and full time and part time campers. Many families here, even those with homes local to the area. The staff is absolutely lovely and if you need anything they are here to assist. The pool area and every facility I have seen is kept immaculate and the campgrounds don't have a spec of trash to be seen anywhere. Even though we live in our home full time just 10 minutes away from here, we will be back at least once every two months to enjoy this beautiful oasis up the road. This location is being very well managed and we could not be more happy.

We stay for 2 nights with our granddaughters, we enjoy our stay. We bought the tickets for the Safari when we did the check in. The rv sites was clean and spacious, the only bad thing was that don't have a grill at the RV site. The amazing was you can hear the roar of the Lion at you campsite.

Very tight campground. Neat hearing the lions roar. Rules say no pop ups etc., but all the long timer sites have them. That probably added to the close quarters vibe of the park. Fine for an overnight. Bath house was sufficient.

We spent 33 wonderful days at Lion Safari KOA! The grounds are pretty, the roads are great for riding your bike and the pool is fantastic! Office personnel do a great job and are nice to talk with. Bingo night is stellar! And you must go to Karaoke. (Granted these happen in the winter months so they are over March 31st). Bathrooms and laundry are clean. There are many activities such as shuffleboard, volleyball, etc. Our campsite was perfect for our 33 ft class A. We met many nice people and are leaving looking forward to seeing our new friends next year. Yes, we heard the lions and gibbons every day. (Sometimes several times a day). Although the beach is 20 miles away there is plenty to do within minutes of the park. Many good restaurants and stores as well as a Farmers Market. There are free concerts in Wellington on Thursdays and Saturdays. Seriously you will love this place!

Very nice KOA! Woke up to sounds of animals roaring at the nearby Lion Safari attraction. Trees all around the RV sites, very friendly atmosphere. Lots of long term RVers (February), but very nice rigs, and clean campsites. We will definitely go back for another stay!
