I unfortunately need to drop stars not because it's a bad place but because it has become way too popular in the off season with tourists traveling just to go to this little known place. If you're local and have another place like it to go I wouldn't share it on Google at all!!!! Each time I've gone up here this winter and early spring the lot has been full of outsiders, the RV park is not open yet, no bathrooms you will find bags of Human waste stacked up against the locked woman's bathroom door that's away from the road. I feel so bad for the rangers or volunteers that are going to need to clean that mess up!!? If you don't live here even if you do!? don't crap in bags and leave it behind!!! At least find a Public Trashcan for it! If for some chance you do live here please use the bathroom in your house during the off season! I've never seen anything like this , it could get the place shut down if it keeps up or they start to enforce the after hours no parking rules! Or charge a fee to use the County Park! The people it's starting to attract are not good so unfortunate 🥺 they have no respect for the place or the people that work and live here.

Breath taking views of the lake! Plenty of parking and bathrooms are accessible. I could sit for hours searching for agates.

Very nice grand view of the shore of Lake Superior! Parking is close to the beach. Many many beautiful rocks/pebbles washed along the shoreline and into the water...gorgeous colors. Very quiet & peaceful. Does not have places to sit.

Gorgeous beach with sandy places to lay blanket down for a picnic and rocky sections with some awesome rocks. I found so many beautiful rocks in less than an hour. Our dogs loved all the sticks along the beach, too.

Such a quaint place, we ended here on a scenic byway and waterfall drive! There were several people looking for beautiful rocks, a couple of fires going on the beach and just some strolling while the sun was about to set. We built a fire and proceeded to watch the clouds and lake showoff their own beauty as another great day came to an end. Man the UP is simply amazing.

This is absolutely one of my favorite campgrounds!! If you come here, get a site on the lake. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of Superior. There's plenty of room for tents or trailer campers. Beach is good for finding cool rocks or drift wood. No cell service, so it's perfect for when you just want to get away from it all. There's also a small park with things to climb on and plenty of space for kiddos to run around. Note: there are no grates on the fire pits which is maybe the only downside to this place.

I love this place, so beautiful and serene. I come here1-2 times a year when we get a chance to come back home to visit family and never disappoints. A good place to come and just relax,clear your mind and take in the beauty.
