The cabin was roomy, clean and comfortable! Restrooms and shower facilities were exceptionally clean! Staff were very friendly, welcoming and well informed about the area!! Close to Garden of the Gods and the Wolf Sanctuary! I Will Be Back!! Thank You for a Great Experience!!!

I would not stay here again. The spots are so tight you're right on top of each other. Spots are also very tiny in general. We were sitting around the fire just talking (we had a bigger group that took up 3 spots - 15 people in total 9 or which were kids all ages). They felt the need to remind us 40 minutes before quiet time about quiet time - we were already working on it - I don't need mommed while I'm camping. We had the kids in bed and asleep by 10pm while we sat around the fire chatting until around midnight. The next morning we got told we were way too loud disrupting the campsite and "partying" - that's hilarious to me because we are not a partying group nor did we do anything other than sit around the fire and talk. We didn't rave or act routy... We sat around the fire talking.. They reminded us of quiet hours but said we aren't expected to be in bed by then - so what do you expect people to do if we can't sit around the fire and chat without being accused of "partying". The only reason I gave two stars vs one is because the staff was nice and respectful. We will not be staying there again nor would I suggest to anyone.

The campground itself is really nice and love the staff. Very friendly! The only reason for dropping a star- is the noise from the highway. I imagine if you’re not tent camping, it’s not a problem. Kept me up nearly all night. Fountain creek running behind the campground was nice too, kids enjoyed playing in it. You can ignore the owners signs on the other side of the creek that say “no trespassing in creek”. Fountain creek is a public waterway and they have no rights to keep people out, just be respectful and don’t go up on the property on the other side. Tent sites are also super close together- the map is a bit misleading and definitely outdated. I chose site 28 specifically because the map shows it closed off by trees/bushes from the other sites. Not the case as there is nothing separating them. Definitely wouldn’t mind staying here again, it just won’t be in a tent.

Campground is conveniently located to Garden of the Gods. I camped here in June for one night while passing through. Staff was friendly, however, I was not impressed with this campground's cleanliness or organization. Upon check in, another guest had their tent set up in the site I had reserved. The employee fortunately had another site available for me to go to instead. Note - The tent sites that allow camper vans are very small and not well marked. The loop is essentially a dirt circle with a couple site numbers in the ground and picnic tables. When I went to use the sinks up front labeled for dish-washing, I found one sink clogged and filled with water, and the other sinks (both fish cleaning area and dish-washing sinks) filled with fish guts making the entire area smell. The bathrooms were somewhat clean, but the showers were quite dirty. I hoped that this was all just because it was later in the evening. Unfortunately the dish-washing sinks and bathrooms were the exact same in the morning when I went to wash dishes from breakfast. Nothing appeared to be cleaned overnight as most campgrounds do. While this campground is convenient to Colorado Springs & other tourist spots, I would recommend staying somewhere else and avoiding this campground due to a lack of cleanliness, organization, and poor quality campsites.

Great little family oriented campground 15 minutes away from Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou, Old Colorado, etc. Heated pool, fishing pond, retro arcade, and playground. 24 hour showers, laundry, and access to microwave for those tenting. RV sites are a little tight, but not terrible for 35' and under. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great little gift shop with most staples and fun souvenirs. It's perfect for every age. Price point was good, especially with all the amenities they provide. Felt like we were camping with a bunch of friends and family even though we're from way down in Texas.

The name says it all. This is a campground. Do not expect level sites or paved parking. Everyone had a great time. Awesome service and more than adequate facilities. The pool was clean, maintained several times a day, and very popular with the kids. Also the playground with swings and large wooden structure was always busy. There also is an outdoor dish washing station. The store was well stocked with reasonable prices given the location. If you like a rustic environment with city amenities you will love Lone Duck Camoground.

I'm fairly new to campgrounds and camping, but have had some experience. The space for your camp is pretty small, but mainly because you have to be able to fit your car there mostly. If there were somehow a parking area or lot it would help with having more room for tents. I felt uncomfortable being so near other campers as the first family we were by did not respect other campers at all. Loud until midnight, letting their children run through our camp. The office does let you know to call in case of situations like this. As we were about to call, the family finally went to bed. I am thankful there are showers and bathrooms, and the water was hot. The bathroom stalls are weirdly close to the toilets where I almost felt squished, but it was manageable. I did see a sign for a bear on the loose, and I hope it can be humanely transported elsewhere. There is a rooster nearby which likes to let you know to wake up right at 5am. The highway is near as well and you can hear the trucks and cars.

We recently stayed for 4 nights at this Campground. What Jewel of a place. Check in was fast & efficient. We were in Site #2. Nice. Full hook Up. This place is located in just the right location. Great for Day trips. Office Staff was very knowledgeable & friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Right next to highway but, the Mountain Views make up for it. The only downside was, The Duck was nowhere to be found. Nice place for family adventures. I wish I could give it 10 Stars.

Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Right near Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Ww stayed at the site between the pond and the stream. It was private and safe. The campground is literally right off the highway, which is convenient, but less tranquil when you hear the traffic rolling by. Not a complaint, just felt it was worth mentioning. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The amenities are everything. They have one of the cleanest and best maintained swimming pools I have seen. The kids were delighted to spend their time swimming, playing at the arcade and riding their bikes around. The grounds are rigorously maintained and the staff are very courteous and engaging. I would absolutely stay here with my family again.

We stayed here to be close to Colorado Springs and visit nearby points of interest. We made last minute plans to stay here and booked our stay about 2 or 3 days in advance. The staff was very friendly. This was a pretty laid back type of campground that is not something very well manicured but it worked well for us for one night. It felt like a safe place to stay. There were lots of families with kids in the campground and a busy swimming pool. The site was very level, but the site we stayed in was converted from two sites so the power was on the wrong side for us and water on both sides of us, but it wasn’t a problem. The bathrooms and showers were just okay. It was a very dark bathhouse and needed better lighting. The paint used on the showers and vanity made it not look very clean. It didn’t smell bad, just not a nice experience in the bathhouse.

We've only camped at state parks before so this was a different experience. The staff and service were excellent. The location was great. It was not too far up the mountain so it wasn't as cold. And it was close to many of the places to visit, like Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods and Seven Falls among others. It was right off the highway but the stream sound was usually louder than the highway sounds. The camp sites were a little small but we had good neighbors. My biggest complaint is the hidden fees. Our site was supposed to be $48/night but it ended up being $62/night because they charged us extra for each our kids and they had a "reservation fee" attached to each day on top of that. However, we did really appreciate the free hot showers and the dinning room that was open 24/7 with heated bathrooms and hot water. They also had hot water and hot coffee available for free at 5:30am. My kids also enjoyed fishing for Rainbow Trout in their stocked pond. Overall, we would stay at this campground again if given the opportunity as long as it wasn't during the weekend or during the high season. This campground would probably be too crowded and packed too close together if it was full. I also wouldn't want to stay in any sites closer to the highway.

This might be my second review on here. We stayed at another campground recently for our daughters bday. I found myself missing lone duck. We have gone here every summer for four years now. The only thing i would complain about is when we got to our cabin at around 5 pm it was so hot inside it felt like a sauna. Some air conditioning would be nice for the hot weather as those cabins get pretty scorching if the window isn’t opened. Now for the good part and what makes lone duck stand out is the fact that it is smaller, that won’t be ideal for everyone but we can have our kids playing and making friends at the playground and not worry they aren’t within eye sight. My kids make about a dozen friends every year we come. If you like old fashioned outdoor fun this is the place to come w your kids. It’s nothing fancy but that’s actually what I love about it, it’s dirt and pools and arcades and playgrounds and lots of sunshine for the kids! It would be kinda cool to do an outdoor movie for the families or some thing like that on the weekends. I’m excited to see the bathrooms renovated!

Being full time RV’ers currently, we were highly impressed with the Lone duck campground in Cascade. The new owners Lucas and Lauren were extremely helpful and fun to speak with. The campground has a stocked trout pond, splash pad, arcade and pool for the family to enjoy. The views and location of the lone duck campground were fantastic and minutes away from the entrance of Pikes peaks entering! I can assure you under Lucas and Lauren's ownership this rustic campground will continue to be a local gem in the Colorado Springs area.

Great facilities, customer service and the location cannot be beat. For the first five nights we stayed in Site 13 and last night we stayed in Site 44. Both sites were great, 13 had a little more room but 44 was more secluded and had nice views. Location is close to everything. Campground was clean, pool was awesome after a long day of hiking, it can be a little loud but i don’t expect total quiet when we camp. I love the community feel.
