We spent 2 nights in site #024...the last immediately next to the hiker-biker camp section. The park was easy to find (JUST MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE MAP BEFORE YOU LEAVE SANTA CRUZ AREA (if heading south) BECAUSE THERE'S ZERO RECEPTION!). Pavement all the way around the park. Good signage, so was easy to find our location... Efficient check in and out, and camp host VERY friendly and helpful...told my kids tips on how to find salamanders. NO WATER in the premise so plan accordingly. Share with the bikers coming in that have no idea ahead of time! The campground is very scenic ... views everywhere! Also a hike (mostly incline) immediately across Hwy 1 from campground entrance -- 5 miles up to get to a peak. Great listening to the sound of the waves! Important to note that to get to the beach, you have to go between campsites #9 & #11. ✔️ for ticks!!! 😳 Other wildlife is just fun to watch...rabbits were just skiddish enough to still see them. Mice running around at night so keep food closed up.

We stayed at Kirk Creek for 1 week. We were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the campground hosts. It seemed like they were working all the time! The campground was pristine! Each site was well maintained, groomed and trash free. The bathrooms were the CLEANEST bathrooms we've ever experienced at a campground before... even smelled kinda nice! We were so happy to be able to stay here and will definitely becoming back! Cheers to the campground hosts! They deserve two high-fives and at least a nice lunch from management!
