The reviews don’t exaggerate this park, the sites are spacious, paved, and partially shaded. They are FHU, but the utility placement varies and I finally got to use my 50amp extension cord. Lums Pond has several trails surrounding the “Pond - It looks like a lake to me” We enjoyed Delaware City and Chesapeake City which are connected by the C&D canal, and the adjacent bike path. Schaefer’s Canal House in Chesapeake City is excellent with a wide variety and large portions.

Beautiful park. We did the whole loop around the pond, which we consider more of a lake, little hilly but very doable about 3.5 hours for us. Had our big water bottles and took note of bathrooms and port a pottys as we went. Next time bringing our kayak. Looked at camping sites and they looked very nice as well.

Nice state park... plenty to do, like kayaking, fishing, hiking , playground for the kids to play on. Basketball courts and modern rest rooms. Plenty of wildlife to see on and off the water. The rangers and staff are very polite.... only gave 4stars because we didn't camp there yet !
