The reviews don’t exaggerate this park, the sites are spacious, paved, and partially shaded. They are FHU, but the utility placement varies and I finally got to use my 50amp extension cord. Lums Pond has several trails surrounding the “Pond - It looks like a lake to me” We enjoyed Delaware City and Chesapeake City which are connected by the C&D canal, and the adjacent bike path. Schaefer’s Canal House in Chesapeake City is excellent with a wide variety and large portions.

Beautiful park. We did the whole loop around the pond, which we consider more of a lake, little hilly but very doable about 3.5 hours for us. Had our big water bottles and took note of bathrooms and port a pottys as we went. Next time bringing our kayak. Looked at camping sites and they looked very nice as well.

Best place for a weekend escape relax your mind in the nature I love cycling there in my bike around the lake they have good trail for hiking/bike riding. Clean environment with good toilet facilities/vending machines for sodas/water . They also have boat available for rents . A perfect place for family picnics

Nice state park... plenty to do, like kayaking, fishing, hiking , playground for the kids to play on. Basketball courts and modern rest rooms. Plenty of wildlife to see on and off the water. The rangers and staff are very polite.... only gave 4stars because we didn't camp there yet !

This place is huge. There different parts/trails in the park which can be visited. Lot of benches to sit. You would see lot of people around and you wouldn’t feel isolated. So felt really good. Really nice view of the lake with the reflection of sky and trees. You would see people fishing cycling. We took our cat there she loved it too. The weather was good. Really wanted to wait till the sunset but couldn’t. Hopefully would be able to click pictures of the sunset next time.

A beautiful park with a friendly staff. They have hay rides during the fall and reasonably priced. The are amazing views and plenty to do like fishing, hiking, disk golf, ect. All in all a great place to get out doors.

It's a very nice lake with multiple different trails around with the longest being around 8 miles through the forest and is not very tough. You just need to be careful with all the tree roots and vegetation on the trail. The park has multiple parking areas and picnic tables as well as pavilions for small or large barbecue get togethers. You can also boat on the lake and the forest around the lake presents a very scenic view.

This park is a great place for a pit stop or a full day of activities. The pond is scenic and peaceful, never crowded, but never empty either. You can’t swim in the pond, but boating and fishing are allowed. You can also rent kayaks or paddle boats. Outside the pond, there are hiking trails, camping and picnic areas, playgrounds for kids, fields for various sports, and even a disc golf course. Perhaps best of all, there’s an adventure park! It does cost extra, but it’s awesome and totally worth it if you have time/budget to spare. It has zip lines, a sort of modified bungee jump, tree top obstacle courses... It’s just a ton of fun.
