A wonderful spot, very clean and friendly staff. Lake is one of the better lakes we have stayed at and would come back every year if it was closer than 16 hrs drive away. If you have a trailer over 32 feet, some of the round abouts are very tight, and use caution. I madenit around without hitting a tree but watching many people not cut the corner properly. It would be nice to have a couple of trees removed. We were in site 67. Super Dog friendly place also, huge area on the beach for dogs, leashed in the park of course but no issues. Great spot to shut off, no cell service. You can get service closer to Lumby. No shower and great flushing toilets. Cascade Falls hike up the road about 5 km ish, shirt but beautiful. Caution if your not an outdoors person, there is a small section that is on a side hill.

We had an AMAZING experience tenting here with our two children (ages 9 months and 2 years old). Beautiful beach in the day use area that drops quickly, so you are going to want life jackets for non-swimmers! A bit chilly, as it is a glacier-fed lake, but great on a hot day. We were here the first week of September and it was lovely. Large camp sites - big enough for 2 tents or an RV. Picnic table at each site. There is a boat launch and a large stretch of beach that you can also launch from if you don't have a boat trailer. No cell service, internet, power etc. which is great if you are trying to get away from city life. There is a place to charge medical equipment if necessary - check with the staff. Wonderful experience. My two-year-old has been asking to go back everyday since we have been home. Bugs weren't bad the first week of September either.

The people and Kaloya Contracting who employs them are anything but hospitable, don't matter which park you go to that they manage they'll use whatever rule they can to draw every bit of dollar out of you. For example in July they wanted is to pay an extra $22/day because we had an extra 16.5 year old teenager in our group above the max amount allowed, also they'll always charge you for an extra vehicle even when the total occupants on the site is only 4 or less. We understand rules and that they have to be followed, but this company pushes all their employees to the max to enforce only the ones that creates extra income, this we experienced grom several parks they look after. There is a better way to balance this, but when you are blinded by the greed for money you won't even notice this. This day and age when it's increasingly hard to get families and youth out and away from all the modern distractions of society we should be encouraging people coming, instead of creating bad vibes with such a strict management of our parks.
