Wonderful quiet campground perfectly settled in the nature. James and his wife are incredible campsite hosts and always there if assistance is needed. Bathrooms are modern and new and heated.

Great campground, well maintained. Hosts are friendly and amenities are great. Only issue I take is generator hours shutting you down at 8pm. Better have good batteries or solar generator to get you through the evening. Bathrooms were great. Make sure to obey bear rules, otherwise they will cite you. Traveling buddy almost got on 10 campsites away for leaving his grill out while he filled up on water. Otherwise great location, real close to Gardiner. Kind of a windy road but it has stuff if you need it.

Amazing place to stay inside the park. The sites are great, and the restrooms are well kept.

It was a good place to sleep. Wake up and see everything covered in snow, and soon after, about eight bison. It was spectacular. The showers weren't running, and only one bathroom was open during the winter season.

Knocked off 2 stars: 1 - When they closed half the campground, they also closed all the bathrooms for the season except the one at the entrance. There are 2 other nice, heated, bathrooms in the half still open and being at full capacity I don't understand why they would need to be closed. 2 - There is no sink to drain dishwater. With all the strict warnings about bears, I think it would be a good idea to have a drain or sink for this. All that said, the campground has a great view of hills and mountains, elk meandering through, great location. You cannot buy firewood here, but you can get it from the general store by Mammoth Hot Springs.

Great campground, a little bit expensive at $25 a night but the location is unbeatable for how close you are to the park in the winter when most other campgrounds are closed. There Was water and a fire pit at the site for a walk was required to get to bathrooms and trash services. There’s no electricity hook up. Also keep in mind that cell service in this area is very spotty and I did not have any AT&T signal. There’s also an elk in my campground the next morning which was a cool thing to wake up to.

Love this campground on the north side of Yellowstone. You have easy access into Gardiner and then into the park.

Great location. The elk are crazy loud but come thru the campground every night. Beautiful!

Nice natural campground. During the elk rut (Sept-Oct) you’ll see and hear them all night.
