Best KOA for cyclists in the country. Can't beat access to a shower, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and affordable coffee in the morning. They recently added improvements to the sites I believe, or at least I don't remember the fire pits. One suggestion for qn improvement I'd like to see someday is a locking cabinet for smelly stuff away from the camps, as there are definitely active raccoons in the area. They never got into my tent, but definitely they'll run around it making a racket sometimes. You might be able to store a couple bags in the trash bin area to reduce this I realized afterward. The ladies running the places were great, letting me stay an extra night to use the wifi for an interview for a job I ended up getting.

I’ve stayed here a few times already, and I always look forward to returning. The tent sites are nice and spacious, and they have very flat ground for the tents. The restrooms are always clean, and the staff are great. The store always seems to be well stocked too. It's perfect for me as I travel by motorcycle and can't fit a great deal of stuff on my bike. They also deliver the firewood to your site!

Friendly staff. Very clean grounds/ restrooms They host fun activities like movie nights, karaoke, group bonfires and ice cream socials on select evenings, which add a nice community vibe. We usually stay in a cabin, but this time we tried a tent site and it was just as lovely. The beach is conveniently close, with a walking path from the campground. If you’re bringing little ones or hauling a cooler, I’d recommend driving down and parking nearby for easier access. They also have a community kitchen with stove top burners and a microwave if you don’t want to cook at your campsite. Two parks for kids, volleyball court, basketball, frisbee golf and horseshoes. ***

We had such a wonderful stay at KOA Manchester Beach! The campground is clean, well-organized, and has everything you need for a comfortable camping trip. Our site had a picnic table, fire pit, and grill, making it easy to cook and relax outdoors. The atmosphere was peaceful with plenty of trees for shade, and we loved the open layout with space to set up our tent and chairs around the fire. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the campground felt safe and family-friendly. Restrooms and facilities were well-maintained, and the location is perfect—just a short drive to the beach with beautiful coastal views. We especially enjoyed evenings around the campfire, with the sound of the ocean in the distance. Whether you’re tent camping, RVing, or staying in one of the cozy cabins, this KOA is a great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to camp near the Mendocino coast—we’ll definitely be back!

We didn't use the cabins. We brought our RV. Fun location, wonderful weather, nice and clean facilities!! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will make this a normal stop. Oh, by the way, dogs are not allowed on the beach.

The last one and loft two are excellent with full kitchen refrigerator king size bed nice place. The deluxe Lodge went into our excellent spaces too. We stayed in the deluxe lodge, one or deluxe cabin one and it was a little small. There were two adults and two children and hardly any place to sit inside I recommend going for the largerluxury loft one or two or deluxe loft one or two those are awesome. Great place to visit we're coming back again next summer.

We just got home from four days at KOA Manchester and we had an amazing experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. We rented the two room cabin and it was very clean, and cozy! It was so fun to be able to have a bonfire at night to keep warm. It does get chilly at night but we loved it because it’s hot where we live. My sister and her family had their trailer in a full hook up spot and it was great too! The bathrooms are clean and I noticed staff checking on them throughout the day. It’s a beautiful, quick bike ride to the beach, or there is a walking trail to the beach from the campground. The beach is a bit chilly and I wouldn’t swim in the ocean as it is choppy, and likely has rips currents, but we had so much fun playing in the sand, catching sand crabs in the shore, and just getting our toes wet. It was a 10 min drive to Point Arena light house, and beautiful one hour drive to Fort Bragg. This is definitely a place we would go back to! Thanks KOA Manchester!

Great KOA. Staff is friendly and site, bathrooms & showers were clean. Laundry worked great and is open 24hrs. Hardly any cell service here. We travel in a van and don't need shore power, they allowed us to camp in a cheaper tent site. Lots of beautiful trees to camp under, we picked a site all the way in the back without trees so we had good starlink service.

Kids have the best time with the 2 playgrounds, pool, and tiny arcade. It's not luxury camping, it's a nice middle-ground, sleep in a bed but technically camping type of vibe.

This is an amazing site! The rv sites are beautiful- fire pits and bbq, trees, grass and lots of space between you and the next site over. It's about a (flat) mile walk to the beach. It's very quiet and so relaxing. At the same time, there is also at the camp a playground, arcade, store, pool, ice cream hut, communal cooking area, and communal fire pits. Bathrooms are super clean. The staff are very friendly and very comfortable to be around. We got to tour the cabins and loved them- we may try that next time we come 😄 I highly recommend and plan to come back!

We went here in Jan MLK weekend for a winter camping. It was not a busy season so the KOA is good value. The location is a little remote not very close to Mendocino and Fort Bragg, the latter is a much bigger city. Lots of stores and even gas station were closed in Mendocino at the time of our visit, not many visitors. The KOA is close to Point Arena Lighthouse, a nice place to visit. There is a entrance fee if you want to visit inside of the light house. I like the quietness during our stay, unlike busy seasons, but there was no activities for kids. However the spa pool was open, a plus.

Absolutely awesome campground in an amazing location. The tent sites are huge, have lots of trees, barbecue grills, firings and bench/tables. The staff will bring firewood to the sites. Beautiful views and great coastal access. The tent ground has clean, flushing toilets and clean showers. We really enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. The camp store is well stocked and has everything that might be needed. Not exactly cheap - but very convenient. Super friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back!!

Great place for families with kids as they have the heated pool, the playground, and the shared kitchen area. We stayed here only at nights, but we enjoyed our cozy cabin and the electric fireplace.

I wish we could have stayed and enjoyed it a little more but it was just too muddy to do so. The store didn't have much in it and because it's so far from any other store I would have thought they would have more available. Keep the mud down and next time I might stay longer. Maybe in the summer it's nicer. I've heard good things about this location.

One of the last stops we had while travelling to Fort Bragg from Bay Area. There are many photogenic submerged rock formations, and there is an arch rock viewpoint as well. There is famous, private campgrounds for multiple activities which themselves may take a long weekend. Also the namesake State Park is well known for its flora and fauna, and the long equestrian trails. A coworker told me that there is a nice meat restaurant nearby, but we were too late to explore those.
