Marina Camping Le Grand Bleu
Overview
Overview
Situated in Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine, QC, Marina Camping Le Grand Bleu places travelers right by the water in the scenic administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches. This waterfront property draws its character from the surrounding lake country, offering a distinct nautical setting for visitors exploring the interior of Quebec. It stands as a straightforward destination for those seeking an aquatic basecamp in a classic Canadian landscape.
Location & Surroundings
The park rests in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, characterized by rolling wooded terrain, crisp regional air, and abundant freshwater bodies. Travelers navigate provincial routes such as Route 112 to reach this part of Thetford Mines and the wider Estrie region. The local topography features dense forests and hilly terrain, creating a quiet rural atmosphere far removed from major metropolitan highway congestion.
Amenities & Park Features
Given the specific name of the property, guests can anticipate a marine-oriented layout featuring boat-docking capabilities alongside typical campsite configurations. Because specific on-site details regarding electrical pedestals, water availability, and sewer hookups remain unverified, visitors must contact the park directly. It is wise to inquire about site dimensions, pull-through availability, and operational dates for water-based services before finalizing travel plans.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The surrounding region provides ample recreation, particularly around regional waters like Lac Aylmer and the nearby Frontenac National Park. Outdoor enthusiasts can access hiking trails, fishing spots, and paddling routes within a short drive. Nearby towns offer local dining and regional culture, while the broader Appalachian foothills deliver scenic drives, particularly when autumn foliage transforms the local tree canopy.
Who This Park Is Best For
This waterfront property suits road-trippers, boaters, and nature-focused travelers exploring rural Quebec rather than those seeking urban conveniences. It appeals to campers who value lakeside settings and proximity to provincial parks over commercial resort attractions. Independent RVers traveling with watercraft or canoes will find the regional landscape well-matched to their preferred style of outdoor recreation.

Very nice marina with good access. Great for me to go down my 25 footer with access to the service dock. Even a woman came to help me put it back on the trailer, right, delivered at 9 p.m. 5 Star $30 per descent
