One of the best parks that is available to Thousand Trails members. Great location and nice spots. Yes the highway can be loud but it is not that bad and if you are here more that a couple of days it fades into background noise.

Very nice hosts.  Calm location internally. Most people driving slowly. There is significant highway noise, of course, but you come for the beach and Monterey.

Nice mix of trees.  Walking path directly to beach.  Can get packages delivered directly to your site (WHICH IS GREATLY APPRECIATED).  They take extra care to make sure gravel is blown off the road and even rake the gravel parking spaces after vehicles leave to give a fresh and clean impression.  NEVER seen that before.  An extra touch of care.  Certainly not taking the lazy approach.

The sand at the beach is very coarse, which means it doesn't pack down, even when wet.  Always a soft step and unrideable by fat tire bikes. Bike path not too far on other side of highway alongside a road heading north-south.

Beautiful Yurt Stay with Great Location 🌊

Our family spent a week in Big Sur staying in cabins, but there was virtually no cell phone reception, which made it impossible for me to work. Since I had to work three days of the week, we chose to stay at Marina Dunes RV Park in a yurt — and it was even nicer than expected!

The yurt was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was great — we slept so well. Staff were friendly, check-in was easy, and the bathrooms (a short walk away) were cleaned daily and well-maintained.

Even though it’s close to the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1), it was surprisingly quiet. The location is perfect for exploring Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur. There’s a beautiful trail over the dunes that takes you right to the ocean, and just down the street is a state beach entrance and parking lot — we even rode our bikes there! 🚴‍♀️ The drive from here to Big Sur is absolutely breathtaking and so worth it.

Cell reception was excellent for T-Mobile (four bars most of the time), and if you need full 5G, just head up the street to Walmart.

We loved it so much we booked another two-week stay later this year, and this time we’ll be bringing our RV. Highly recommend!

Clean, cozy, and a short walk to the beach! Stayed one night in a yurt: comfortable bed, linens and towels provided, plus fire pit, picnic table, and chairs. Restrooms and showers were great. My parents stayed in one of the RV sites, which were spacious, well-kept, and perfect for relaxing. The tiny homes on-site were also adorable. Quick drive to Monterey and plenty of stores/restaurants in Marina. Park store closes early, so plan ahead. Highly recommend for RV stays or a relaxing seaside getaway!

Graded flat spots. Fenced area with a picnic table. We had a 50amp spot, full hookups. Great customer service. Easy to park wide roads. Near the beach, and had great bike paths.

The northern section was alittle more established with trees whereas south lot was alot more open. Definately can't go wrong staying here. We stayed at site 81 which is a pull through site on the end.

We’ve been camping here for years, and it’s always been our go to spot for spring and summer getaways. The beach is just a short walk from our RV campsite, which is a huge plus. The RV park is consistently clean, and the customer service has always been great. While you can hear some noise from the freeway, it’s barely noticeable with the ocean so close by. The location is incredibly convenient, especially being near Monterey Bay which is the main reason we keep coming back. As members of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, we love that we can camp here and easily drive to the Aquarium. Our stays have always been memorable, and we look forward to returning year after year.

Super easy to get to and right next to the beach.  There is an awesome trail to take to the beach as well.  Spots aren't very private and the rates were a bit pricey.

Our experience was outstanding.  As a disclaimer we were put in the brand new section which is choice.  Pavers so you really don't need a rug and it's big for keeping out the dirt and sand.  Hookups were fine.  Shower was hot and free.  General store, laundry and so on.  Facilities were great.   You're pretty close to the ocean by foot or if you can find a parking spot the state park entrance on the way in to the park is instant access to the beach.  If you take the dogs its the foot path only and while you can drive down to the entrance it's a fair distance to the beach.  I really found no flaws.  Your mileage may vary and I can't speak to the original location 100 yds away from the section we stayed at but it was definitely more children and lots of them so for us, we probably would have had a slightly diminished experience.

We initially planned to stay for 4 nights. Then extended for another two weeks. We loved the RV Park and the location. Quick drive into Monterey or up to Moss Landing to see more wildlife.
You can tell the staff really care about this place. The bathroom and showers are spotless. Every site is carefully cleaned before new folks arrive. The office store has a bunch of things too.
We have a baby and a dog and really enjoyed the close access to the dog-friendly beach (right behind the RV park) and the state beach, also a short walk down the road.

Super swanky! For my first RV experience, I wanted to try something a little more modern and mainstream, and I absolutely loved it! My friends and I spent a lot of time at Pebble beach which wasn't too far away and an almost equal amount of time at the clubhouse and barbecue area at the campground. The facilities were amazing and well-kept; there were patios on each full hookup site which was nice because most people seem to prefer to stay on site at night and we met some great people while barbecuing. There was wifi, which was a deal-breaker for most of us and it certainly didn't feel like we were camping, yet there was so much gorgeous natural landscape to enjoy. A few members of our group did spend a night at one of the individual campsites in a tent, and they only had great things to say. It can get a pinch chilly every now and again at night, but nothing too crazy. We spent a lot of time at the beach and at the site, which I low-key regret because apparently there were a lot of other activities around the site. Next time, we'll be kayaking, hiking and lots of wine tasting. Yes, we'll definitely be back! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
