Beautiful property but unfortunately the trails weren’t marked very well. The blue markings on the trees were very faint or not at all. We ended up off the trail but were able to get back on using my phone. It would be a great Boy Scout project to improve the trail markings.

Love the trails and it is very quiet walking/hiking through. We have seen maybe 6 people tops, enjoying the trails while we have been there. This has really turned into or go to spot. Like when my parents took us swimming many, many years ago.

Great place to hike the trails and just get out in nature. Lots of nice shaded areas to beat the heat!

Great place for a great hike and sweat. Also a nice cold stream to cool down. Will be my go to place when I am nearby. Loved

The inclines/declines become very challenging in the snow and ice, tread cleats needed but gorgeous trail. I'm sure it's much more accessible to every one once the ice is gone. Only saw one other soul

Took my grandson fishing here. Tranquil and peaceful place to enjoy nature. I did feel a bit cautious about running into a bear....otherwise, a beautiful place for a picnic, hiking, or fishing.

What a trail! We completed the blue loop and not only was it well marked, but it was full of elevation, rock gardens and a good variety of obstacles. I was truly impressed at how well the blazes were consistent, and how clear the trails were. The were not any standing bathrooms, but porta-potties in the parking lot areas. Beautiful scenery complete with some great map locations made for an excellent day of hiking!

Great place where you can either take an easy walk right next to the river or take a more challenging hike. Very few mosquitos and the park was quite empty on a beautiful summer day, which we loved. On a hot day you cool off by sticking your feet into the River 😊. One of my favorite places to go for a walk in this corner of CT.

10.8.22 This is one of my fave places to hike in the fall because it's peaceful and colorful. I have a bad knee so there's one spot in this trail that is rocky so I go much slower. But it's so much fun. I have seen a snake here every time I hike it but that is just part of nature and being outdoors. If you're new to hiking I suggest you follow the AllTrails map. This park has lots of parking, picnic tables, porta potties, spots to fish, hiking trails, and beautiful views.
