My first time ever going to this lake. The lady you stop at to pay to get it was so nice and professional, I didn't catch her anybody. She had tattoos and she was awesome and helpful. The lake was so nice and peaceful clear Waters. I will be back again.

My only complaint is that the water for swimming is 6 miles away from camp. The views of the lake are amazing, friendly rangers, there's showers but the water isn't consistent with hot or warm but heck your camping! At least you can you the restroom and shower after a day in the lake.

I went there to fish with family and friends. no one was at the entrance booth kiosk and there was no cell service to get the pass online. I went in looking for someone and I couldn't find anyone. Sure enough when I got back to my vehicle there was a ticket. Ridiculous. Horrible experience and service. I finally found someone working the park and they were horrible. Ranger 38 was of no help. Instead of hearing me out she immediately expected us to pay a 70 dollar ticket. Then she tried lowering it. It's a scam. Ranger 38 is horrible. Please be aware. I will not be returning and don't recommend anyone else go. They purposely trying to get money through false tickets. Ranger 38 made it worse. BE AWARE. I've been there many times before never had incident this is new. Idk who Ranger 38 is but horrible human. She should be ashamed.
Zero Cool
It’s a decent lake with very few options for day use areas. If you have a boat it’s great but It only has one small area to swim at that’s surrounded by fisherman all day. If the splash zone is closed there are little no options to do anything there.

Very cool are for adults or kids. RV sights were pretty cool and come with a gazebo but they are dry as expected. However the fishing near by is great. Also the water park there is pretty amazing for kids or an adult.

The cover all amenities you need. And it was much nicer than expected.. lounge area's are nicely shaded good food.. the water is tough at first to get into cause it's freezing lol.. but in a hot summer day you'll appreciate it.. overall I'll be back again.

We got a nice spot by the bathroom. Grass was green, very nice day, not crowded. Only thing have to pay $10 cash or useQR code but slow connection .

Not bad camp area, but bring your own BBQ, only two sites had BBQ all had fire pits but couldn't have a campfire while we were there, restricted... Fishing left alot to be desired. Caught one lonely carp.... Other campers were friendly. Store near boat launch is closed most of the time, only open on weekends.....

Camp sites are not bad. Some have shade others don't they also dont have a pre built campfire area, and they do at least have a grill to do bbq. Not too far walk to the water. But it's not bad for a small break from town or drama. The cell service is iffy at times, I so probably recommend some walkie talkies if you're in a larger group

One of the best camping lakes around. The showers need to be updated in loop A. The hot shower stated on the website was nonexistent. Water temp was cold but I got use to it. Great all around.

Spent a day at the lake. Got there fairly early so we can avoid the crowds and get a good spot. Bathrooms are clean. Lake had a lil bit of trash (we cleaned up) please pack out what you bring in. It was nice and peaceful having privacy for a good amount of the day. It definitely starts to get packed later on in the day so we packed up.

Weekday trip. Nice and quiet... Kinda weird, we had reserved spot someone thought it was ok to take it because they liked it better than their spot. Well we did let them keep it and took theirs. If the other wasn't comparable we wouldn't of agreed. Although I thought they were rude for hooking up their water to the spigot (these are community spigots) they did put an adapter on it so there's a way for others to get water. But supposed the next person does the same. No way to hook up another adapter.. so no water for the rest of the nearby sites. If you want full hookups get one of those sites, plenty available.. Bathrooms were good as we're showers. Clean, but campground was practically empty. They do need to put some trash containers around loops. The only trash was a ways away at bathrooms. Lake was full.

Just stayed here in July. HOT HOT HOT...103, 102...not the campsites fault. Stayed in the RV section full hooks ups. No problems. A few sites blasted there music for parts of the day and one group was loud till 11 pm. Overall nice clean sites. DO NOT BRING YOUR BIKES, Goat thorns everywhere, almost all bikes got flats.

I love this lake. I frequent it often and fish every time I go. The water level stays pretty much the same, the bigger lake up to, McClure, is a bit low this time of year. Overall, it's a great place to bring the family.
