The campground itself was Amazing! DO NOT follow Google maps. If it takes you to a offroad road DO NOT attempt it, it's the wrong way. Head back to highway 70 and continue there you will see signs. Camp sites were closer than expected but still great.

Amazing!!!! So much to explore. Clean restrooms and nice campgrounds! And of course, good fishing! Can't wait to return! Oh! And very affordable. 5 bucks per vehicle if you use tents.

This is a beautiful place to go to, but be ready for a ride. The GPS tells you that you have close to 17 miles from the main road to the camp grounds and will take an hour to get there. It does not lie! The road that goes in is in terrible shape with washboard roads that will shake you and your vehicle around. We had our new camper receive some interior damage from the road, but will admit, it was worth the views. If they could fix the roads a little, my family would go back.

Definitely don’t follow the gps unless you have 4WD, which takes you to 550 from the town of Encampment. Instead, keep going past encampment on 70w and catch 550 about 6 miles down. There will be a sign to turn that says ‘hogpark campground’ . The road from here is an easy gravel road that any car could do. Keep driving on the gravel rd about 40 mins to the campground. There was no camp host, trash or water service when we went Labor Day weekend 2021. Someone took our reserved campsite and refused to leave. Because there was no camp host there is no reinforcing of the reservations, but luckily there were plenty of other sites open. Beautiful campground near the water, most of the sites are pretty close to each other though.

Very peaceful and quiet. A little challenging getting here, definitely don't follow directions on Maps.

Fantastic camping in an out of the way place with an amazing lake.

The grounds are very pretty and clean. The camp spots are close together, but it's not bad. The reservoir is fun to swim/boat in. Beware, no one gets cell phone service and there are no Ham radio repeaters in the area. You are essentially in a giant dead zone.
