Midtown RV/Camper Park

Overview

Midtown RV/Camper Park offers a convenient, urban home base for travelers navigating Anchorage, Alaska. Rather than a remote wilderness resort, this location functions as a practical stopover for those who need to remain connected to the heart of the city. With a paved layout and a focus on accessibility, the park serves as a reliable spot for both short-term visits and extended stays while preparing for or returning from further Alaskan explorations.

Location & Surroundings

Situated directly in the center of Anchorage, the park provides proximity to essential city services. You are positioned within a short distance of major grocery stores, professional services, and local retail centers. While you will experience the typical sounds of a bustling city environment, the central location significantly reduces commute times for errands or local sightseeing, making it a highly efficient base camp for busy travelers needing quick access to the urban infrastructure.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed to prioritize functionality for modern RVers. Guests can expect full hookups at many sites, which simplifies the camping experience regardless of the season. The site is maintained to ensure that navigation remains straightforward for larger vehicles. Reliable high-speed internet is a primary feature here, acknowledging that many visitors need to manage travel logistics or remote work tasks while enjoying their time in the Last Frontier.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Because you are located in the city center, the best of Anchorage is only minutes away. You can easily access the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail for an evening walk or visit the Anchorage Museum to dive into local history and art. If you prefer outdoor excursions, the park is a perfect jumping-off point for day trips to nearby parks, including Chugach State Park, where mountain hiking and scenic wildlife viewing await just beyond the city limits.

Who This Park Is Best For

Midtown RV/Camper Park is ideal for travelers who value convenience and accessibility over secluded wilderness settings. It is a fantastic match for professionals passing through, or for RVers who want to be near vehicle repair shops, shopping centers, and dining options. If your travel style centers on urban exploration and having every essential resource within arm's reach, this park provides a solid, well-located foundation for your Alaskan journey.

Mr Paul the owner is a delight to work with. Surprising to me the bathroom are clean and I would live there myself. What a great service they provide to the community. A 1 million thanks would not be enough.

I stayed ten days in July 2022. The park felt safe, a lot of things to do in walking distance and surprisingly quiet at night. The sites seem small but they leave room around you. Any experienced RVer would agree this is a typical in city rv park and it doesn't deserve all the negative reviews. This is a prefect place to stay to explore the city if you want to go camping you need to leave the city. My only complaint is the low water pressure but that might be a city issue.

The worst RV Park I have ever been to. In downtown Anchorage in close proximity to everything but very sketchy so much that we ate the cost of the rv spot for the night of $40 and parked somewhere else for the night. I do not recommend this at all.

A parking lot with electric and water for $45 a night. The only reason I gave any stars at all is because of the location. Close to pretty much everything within Anchorage.
