Went to visit my nephew and my son and they took us here. It's beautiful. We didn't stay anywhere we just went to see the sea and walk around.

I recently stayed at Del Mar Beach and Marina and wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, it was not as positive as I had hoped. Firstly, I found the front desk staff to be quite rude and unhelpful. There seemed to be a lack of professionalism that made my visit uncomfortable. Additionally, the room assignment process felt unfair. Despite waiting patiently in the lobby until the check-in time of 4 PM, I observed another guest being given a room before this time, which was frustrating. Moreover, I was surprised to find that housekeeping began knocking on doors starting at 9 AM on the day of checkout, even though checkout is at 11 AM. This aggressive approach to getting guests to vacate their rooms seems unreasonable, especially since we weren’t allowed to enter our rooms until 4 PM. It felt as though the staff were pushing us out rather than allowing us to enjoy our stay until the designated checkout time. While I understand that circumstances can vary and that every establishment has its off days, I believe consistency and courtesy should be a priority for any service-oriented business. I hope the management can address these issues to improve the overall guest experience.

This is a review for the Marina kayak rental and Del Mar Beach ⛱️🏖️. **Kayak Rental:** I took my granddaughters out for their very first kayaking adventure, and we had such a wonderful time! Corey helped us, and he couldn’t have been more respectful and accommodating. My granddaughters had a blast! When we returned the kayak, we were greeted by a friendly young man—his name might be Cage or Page (sorry if I got that wrong!). He was super helpful and made the return process a total breeze. **Del Mar Beach:** I absolutely love visiting this beach ⛱️🏖️! It feels much safer and cleaner compared to the public beach, which makes it a great spot to relax. Plus, I really enjoy renting a cabana; it’s the perfect way to chill and soak up the sun 😎.

We stayed at one of the 1 bedroom cottages. They are a bit dated, but well kept. The lead right onto the beach and each has its own back patio and grill area. Really a beautiful spot, the service is excellent and the location gets you into easy travel to SeaWorld, the Zoo, the Safari, and Old Town San Diego. As well you are right on Camp Pendleton so food is inexpensive, gas is a bit cheaper and downtown Oceanside is wonderful. It is also half the price of similar offerings in the area.

Great place to relax and enjoy the beach. Who doesn’t want to wake up to the sound and view of the ocean. A full kitchen, grill, and a beach fire pit is provided. A/C, cable tv, nice bathroom area and shower. Great place for adults and kids. Never had any issues with loud neighbors or noise, except occasionally if one of the Marine units is doing training in the boat basin, but I enjoy watching them do amphibious training. This is only available to military personnel, retirees, and some government employees.

The only selling point to the cottages is their convenient location on the beach. Otherwise, they smell like they haven't been cleaned in years, the blankets aren't even thick enough to keep you warm, and they provide zero information about how to get your receipt or where to leave your keys if they aren't open when you are leaving. I tried calling for my receipt and was told "You got that when you checked in." That isn't how receipts work, Dearie.

My family booked a beachfront RV spot. This is our first trip in our new RV and definitely an amazing spot! We got the first spot on the line and are right up front as close to the water as you can get. It is definitely a beautiful beach and the staff have been super friendly so far!

My family of 5 and 2 dogs camped here right before New Year and it was an incredible trip!! We love that we could pull in right on the beach and the campground itself was lively but quiet. The kids enjoyed the park on the sand! The only hiccup we had was with booking. We booked 2 months in advance via the number on the website. We booked easily for the nights we wanted and received a confirmation email. A couple hours later we were contacted by staff and told that we have to adjust our booking because of the block dates for the holiday. We were on a 2 week road trip so we could not move our dates around. My husband spoke with at least 3 different individuals about the situation. Each of them were unapologetic and put the blame on us. He was told that we chose to book with a 3rd party scheduler so we need to adjust. After some back and forth we were contacted a few days later and told that they can honor our dates. We are thankful for the callback and for the staff working with us since this confusion was not our fault. We did laundry on site as well which was super easy because of the option for Apple Pay. However, the coin machine was not working and the laundry room was not unlocked at 0800 as the hours indicate. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and cannot wait to come back!

One of my favorite campgrounds, especially in the winter when it feel like you have a private beach, aside from the ass early PT, but even then, it’s impressive to watch those MACHINES workout. My favorite part about the park is the option to have beach front—literally in the sand—spaces that have water and electric AND you can also stay beachfront using only a tent. They don’t discriminate. I love that because I’m a Tesla & tent camper. I like my car tent but I also like that I can also hit that heater in the morning. Finding a park that will allow a car/tent to camp in a site with hookups isn’t allowed, even if I pay the same price🤷🏻‍♀️. But not at Del Mar Beach Resort!! The sites are smallish but gigantic compared to other beach front parks I’ve stayed in. We love renting kayaks and paddle boards from the marina. My son loves the paintball on base. The showers are clean—but the toilet seats are stainless steal 🥶. They will literally wake your ass up in the morning. So many amenities not only for a park but even for a base. It’s its own city I’m a camper so I haven’t stayed in the cottages but I think it’s cool that they allow a tent in front of cottages for the kiddos when they want to sleep under the stars. Oh, and lastly, we’ve been coming here since 2016 and the staff has always been so kind. I appreciate kindness more than anything🫶

I did not stay here. But the beach is nice. The shop sells woven beach blankets. It's chilly in December but surprisingly bearable. Dude came by in a Santa suit. Says he's hungry 'cause no one brought him cookies. It's ok though, he's like, back from a deployment or something. This other guy here likes sand. He doesn't think it's rough and coarse and gets everywhere. Honestly fair because the sand is pretty soft. You can't have canopies or umbrellas anywhere in front of the lifeguard stands if I remember correctly. Decent 10-foot waves. Need a military friend to get on base.
