This is our second visit. The camp hosts are super nice. The sites are clean and all have a fire ring, and a picnic table. Bathrooms are clean. Beautiful sunsets. And today a man road through on a horse, the second time he road through he was carrying an American Flag. This was the highlight of my day. It brought tears to my eyes.

In 100° weather the Lake felt amazing! That said this was the loudest campground I have been to in my life, the screaming, car doors, car alarms didn't stop till after 3 am. We stayed in site #52 which had a great view and was pretty close to the lake but everyone and their uncle , cousin and granny walked through our site super loud shining flashlights in our tents all night long to take a trail down to the water. With 2 sites and 5 cars it would have been helpful to know that only one car is free with each site and it's an extra $10 per car per night after that. Also it says there are showers but doesn't mention they take quarters at $0.50 a minute. oh and them ground squirrels will eat your food if you leave anything out.

First time at site 80 and for the night it wasn’t so bad. There is a small port a potty by the campsite which was convenient but small and a little tight. We arrived around 2:30pm and thankfully it was shaded 🙌 that tree made a difference! Not so much in the morning but it was a beautiful morning so not too bad. I’d camp there again. I wished there were more pictures of campsites so that’s why I’m posting these.

We stopped here around midnight after getting tired on our drive to Yosemite, and it was the perfect landing spot! Gate was open and morning ranger didn’t chastise us for the free overnight camp. Doesn’t hurt that it’s gorgeous😍

Lake weather. Nice places to camp. A short distance from Fresno for a quick getaway for a weekend or even one night

Had the time of our lives camping in our motorhome for my daughter’s Sweet 16!! Had to rent two sites bc of pontoon boat so a bit costly but a great place to go for an extended weekend. The people next to us were super nice and helpful and ended up leaving two motorized mini boats for my daughter and friends when they left. The lake level seemed lower but we had an absolute blast in the pontoon boat. So match sun and fun tubing 3 days in a row. The first day until a gorgeous sunset lit up the lake beautifully. Plenty of space to roam around safely near other boaters. Dock could be much longer or add another one for those busy summer weekends but not too bad of a wait. Lots of sunburns but a plethora of laughs at this great camping spot. We had sites 129 and 131 with a nice view of the lake. Would book a site furthest west in RV section for more shade.

Nice option for a family camping experience. The only bad thing is that the water level is not consistent. There are years when it is full to capacity and then there are years when the lake is releasing a lot of water and very low, which makes you have to drive out of the campgrounds in search of a good spot on the shore where it is not mushy when you step into the lake. That doesn't happen when the lake is full, so always check the water level before booking in advance. The lake was very low during our camping trip. A Porta potty by our campsite was unusually dirty. That was disappointing. RV camping is available as well as tent camping. The 3 stars are simply due to the inconsistent water level. If it were always kept full, it would get about 4-41/2 stars.

This is a nice place. You have to get there early to get a decent place to hang out. Not too many trees for shade. Take some canopies. This place wasn’t my first choice but had a good time regardless. Have to have a boat or jet skis to have a good time there. Swimming isn’t bad if you can find a place. Water isn’t clear like other places but don’t swallow it and you’ll be fine! 😉

Beautiful area at the lake. There is an area for tent camping, but we stayed in the RV area, which has sites around the perimeter that have some separation from adjacent sites, and an internal avenue of densely packed spaces - the "inner city" of the RV loop. Sites have power & water, but no sewer. There is a dump station near the entrance of the park. We were at a site on the perimeter (117), which has a great lake view and is next to bathrooms/shower (25¢/min). There's boating, fishing, hiking, and day use areas with tables under awnings. There are fire pits, but they're not selling wood at this time, so bring your own. I'm not sure I would want to tent camp here due to the lack of trees, but we had a great time in our trailer.
