Had fun the last time I went! Been enjoying the horse back riding since I was a kid ❤️ Also got to see a few snakes out there which was neat! Will always love taking pictures there as well :)

Checked in at the office and found they aren't open. They leave you a key in a basket. Got in one of the elk view cabins. No coffee, no toilet paper, and one broken burner on the stove and no one to contact. How ever the queen bed was so comfortable and relaxing. I would stay again and make sure I brought my own coffee, toilet paper and dish's.

I was a bit hesitant about renting the cabin due to the rating and reviews. The cabin was quite rustic with slopped floors. Although quite surprised how nice the beds were. Never did get hot water in the shower. My worst fear came true. First night with my husband. Heard a sound rustling in the corner which woke me. It was a mouse in the plastic liner of the trash bin in the corner. Woke husband he was able to take outside and release. Next morning took husband to hike AZ trail. Thus I was alone in the cabin the second night...around 10pm heard a noise. Sure enough another mouse now in the bathroom trash bin. Tried to retrieve bin to take outside but the mouse jumped out and scampered somewhere in the cabin. I grabbed all of my things and fled to my car with no plans to return. Drove to Flagstaff 30 miles away. Slept in my car at a Cracker Barrel. Will never stay at their cabins again. I never did meet anyone in the office and never received a reply to my situation. NOT A MOUSE LOVER.

Stopped there on a recent Saturday afternoon to have lunch (2 pm or so). My friend who lives nearby wasn't sure what to expect since it had been sold a while back. Waited in foyer as several staff saw us but didn't seem concerned. Finally a gal came out and seated us at a table with 4 chairs which we had to move 2 of them in order to sit. Again, a wait until a young guy came out and took our drink order. I asked if the coffee was fresh, and he wasn't sure. I asked if they had half and half, and he wasn't sure. When he returned with the coffee, the cup was a little over half full, lukewarm, and he informed me they had no half and half. He left and so did my friend and I. I never walked out a restaurant before under these circumstances so I can't comment about the food. The menu looked interesting and the special of beans and cornbread sounded good but the service was sketchy. Just my experience so take it for what it's worth.

Great place to camp, the sites are a little close to each other so it can feel a bit crowded if it’s the busy season or a holiday. I reserved two spots, one for me and one for my parents. My parents are elderly so I called ahead of time to make sure the sites would be right next to each other. I was told they could not tell me that and that I would have to wait and see when I got there. I was unhappy to find out that our sites were far apart from each other when I arrived. The next morning I went to the front office and spoke to two ladies, Caroline and I can’t remember the name of the other lady. But they were both very helpful and fixed my reservation so that I could be right with my parents. We were here for the 4th of July and it was packed! Everyone (the campers) was very nice and friendly, and very respectful of the quiet time hours. They had a parade, they have a pond you can fish out of, they have horses you can ride, and their country store has just about anything you may need or want! I would recommend this place and I am excited to return!
