Nice campground near Stowe. May or may not be big rig friendly depending on where they choose your spot to be. Our spot was on the corner of a dead end, and there was not enough gravel at the dead end to straighten out. If there had been someone in the site before ours (which we backed into to help straighten out on our 2nd pull forward to the end of the gravel) then we wouldn’t have had a choice but to pull way onto the campgrounds grass. Campground was clean and has a lot of amenities. River access was great, and we didn’t spend any time in either of the 2 pools because our kids were exploring the river so much. Close to restaurants and shopping. Cafe across the street was great.

It's very nice. Some sites don't have a lot of shade but the weather was a little cold so it wasn't a problem. Clean bathroom, friendly staff and free apple picking which I loved. The only crazy thing is a private road across the street which says (pvt and I had no idea what that means) and if by any chance you don't see it and try to walk around it the owners will treat you really bad and make you feel as a criminal, and watch you until you get out of it, even if you're a pregnant woman like me🤣

What a great campground. Friendly staff, well manicured sites, clean laundry room and restrooms, utilities worked well. Would highly recommend. If in the area again would not hesitate to stay here again. Stayed September 21-24, 2025.

My family and I stayed at this campground for a week this summer and, no exaggeration, it is the best campground I've ever stayed at. The bathrooms and facilities were the cleanest I've ever seen. The sites were well maintained and had nice gravel areas to park your RV that opens up to grass. The sites were very spacious and the campground itself isn't huge, so no matter where you were in the park, you were close to everything. The river access for tubing (we brought our own tubes) and the snack bar across the street were lovely bonuses. Lots of things to do in the area as well. We did a horse and buggy ride on a maple farm and went blueberry picking locally. We were also able to drive to Stowe and walk around the down town. We even found an Emergency vet (Our dog had an issue while we were there and there was an Emergency Vet 8 min away). My husband and I tried to convince the rest of the family to come back next year we liked it so much.

My family and I have been coming to mountain view since October 2018, not too long after Patrick and Erin acquired it. We are summer regulars. Everything in the campground is well maintained, from the clean sites, the bathrooms, and two pools. They also have shuffle board and mini golf. The store is stocked with RV essentials and more. Patrick has a curated Vermont beer cooler that has all the favorites plus a few that may surprise you. The river is stunning, not only to tube down but for it's gorgeous sunsets. Campground is dog friendly. The seasonals are great. The campground is safe and is well monitored to make sure it remains that way. Our kids also love the new playground! The snack bar across the street is a fun bonus! Overall, we love it there and the people that run it.
