It's very nice. Some sites don't have a lot of shade but the weather was a little cold so it wasn't a problem. Clean bathroom, friendly staff and free apple picking which I loved. The only crazy thing is a private road across the street which says (pvt and I had no idea what that means) and if by any chance you don't see it and try to walk around it the owners will treat you really bad and make you feel as a criminal, and watch you until you get out of it, even if you're a pregnant woman like meš¤£

What a great campground. Friendly staff, well manicured sites, clean laundry room and restrooms, utilities worked well. Would highly recommend. If in the area again would not hesitate to stay here again. Stayed September 21-24, 2025.

My family and I stayed at this campground for a week this summer and, no exaggeration, it is the best campground I've ever stayed at. The bathrooms and facilities were the cleanest I've ever seen. The sites were well maintained and had nice gravel areas to park your RV that opens up to grass. The sites were very spacious and the campground itself isn't huge, so no matter where you were in the park, you were close to everything. The river access for tubing (we brought our own tubes) and the snack bar across the street were lovely bonuses. Lots of things to do in the area as well. We did a horse and buggy ride on a maple farm and went blueberry picking locally. We were also able to drive to Stowe and walk around the down town. We even found an Emergency vet (Our dog had an issue while we were there and there was an Emergency Vet 8 min away). My husband and I tried to convince the rest of the family to come back next year we liked it so much.

My family and I have been coming to mountain view since October 2018, not too long after Patrick and Erin acquired it. We are summer regulars. Everything in the campground is well maintained, from the clean sites, the bathrooms, and two pools. They also have shuffle board and mini golf. The store is stocked with RV essentials and more. Patrick has a curated Vermont beer cooler that has all the favorites plus a few that may surprise you. The river is stunning, not only to tube down but for it's gorgeous sunsets. Campground is dog friendly. The seasonals are great. The campground is safe and is well monitored to make sure it remains that way. Our kids also love the new playground! The snack bar across the street is a fun bonus! Overall, we love it there and the people that run it.

This is a gem hidden in Vermont, and it is most definitely worth the stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing!! Easy access to the river with options for tubing, mini golf, shuffle board, two pools, a hot tub, and other games of sorts. The shop at the campground had everything you would need, and the restrooms were the cleanest of all the public restrooms I've ever seen. Amazing place!!!! š

Great campground. Owners maintain it beautifully. They are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a new bath house, new laundry, 2 pools, a hot tub, the gorgeous river easily accessible, a camp store, mini golf, horseshoes, shuffleboard and nice level lots. There is LP on site, very spacious tent sites and cabins available as well. Outdoor sink for tenters to wash dishes and wifi. Built in patios in some RV sites with 50amp, water and sewer. Other sites are 50amp with water and sewer and other rv sites with 30amp and water and sewer. There's a beautiful path (Ash's Trail) where you can walk through nature to the river as well. Great place to rent a tube and begin your tubing adventure. Borrow a movie for the night, sit in the lodge and enjoy a game of checkers or read a book or sit around the fire ring counting the stars. Beautiful landscaping and birds chirping every morning. Very relaxing campground that makes you feel like family.

An amazing campground. Brand new private showers and toilets, hot tub and pool, games and tubing, and plenty of things to do around the area. The WIFI kept turning off and back on, but it's not a big deal. There is a Snack Bar across the road that has every imaginable food if you don't feel like cooking.

We have been coming to Mountain View Campground for 3 years now and we enjoy every minute of it. In fact, this review is WAY overdue. We found this perfect Gem of a location during 2020 Covid summer. It was such a nice, much needed tranquil escape. We are treated like family when we come here. The owners make us feel so welcome and comfortable. Sometimes we trade beers! #cheers The campground is perfectly manicured, clean and meticulously looked after. Every detail is thought about and nothing is over looked. The bathrooms are cleaner than most homes. The laundry room is spotless. If you are looking for Mountain Views, they are down by the river. Grab your chairs and plop them into the water and look down river at sunset to watch the sun set behind the mountains. Breweries near by galore! Go explore. Hiking, mountain biking? No problem. Ample trails near by! Go explore! Super fair prices in the camp store! We make a point to support the camp store before going up the road! If they donāt have something then we will go to the store. Otherwise we get our beer, ice, firewood etc at the store first. #supportsmallbusiness This campground is a 10 out of 5 stars. Not kidding.

You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their campground. All the common areas are very clean, the grounds mowed and trimmed and even the dog park had sparkling fresh water every day for the pets. One thing that was very helpful was wifi at our RV site. It took a few tries to get connected, but once I did, the signal worked great the rest of our trip ... a must when having to work on the road. Our site was very level too; the first one where we didn't have to use boards during our set-up. Would definitely recommend Mountainview when you're in the area.
