Kajia is super friendly, and we had some really nice and interesting chats about the area and camping in general. The place is very clean and well-maintained, the washrooms and showers are spotless. I loved the campground so much that I ended up adding another night to my stay. It’s peaceful, calm, and surrounded by amazing scenery!

I read through the reviews and was kind of dreading the bathrooms, but for the end of the season, this place was amazing. I think everyone has to remember that Nova Scotia is in the midst of a 50-year drought. Water was clean, facilities were clean and it was easy to check in. If you are doing plug in power, score 33 or 35 if you can get these sites. We also LOVED the dome. Very cool. A few more instructions on how the Anchor power worked would have been great.

We did the boat tour with Ryan and it was an amazing experience. Being a life long local as well as a member of the Murphy family, Ryan's knowledge and love for the area makes him the perfect guide. I highly recommend the campground for a stay and definitely take the boat tour. We will be coming back to share this gem with our kids and not soon enough

We loved MURPHY’s campground! From our arrival to our final day, Ryan and his staff were very helpful and informative. They knew just what we needed when we asked about brewery’s and grocery’s and even gave us two free coffees at a lovely market on our way to Dartmouth. The market had fresh produce and baked goods along with local fare. As an owner of a family business I can say this family cares a lot about their guests and their property. The natural beauty of the property is ever changing and the quiet atmosphere so relaxing. A real gem!

Murphy’s Camping on the Ocean offers a truly magical experience when staying in a dome tent. The unique design of the tent allows for breathtaking views of the coastline while providing a cozy, intimate setting. The location is perfect for nature lovers, with easy access to beautiful beaches and scenic hiking trails. The amenities are great, and the friendly staff ensure a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. Listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean at night while nestled in comfort is simply unforgettable. Murphy’s Camping is an excellent destination for anyone seeking a blend of adventure and relaxation in a stunning natural setting!

Two night stay with the camper rental package- includes live lobsters and 2h kayak. We had perfect weather and were able to go out on a boat tour and kayak around the islands. Such a lovely time- staff were great and helpful anytime you even slightly mentioned you might need something or had questions. Really worth it. Definitely recommend and would come back here again.

This was an incredible experience and I cannot rave enough about it. My family went on the "100 Islands, 100 Minutes" boat tour with Ryan Murphy, and we had a blast. Not only was it a super fun ride, but we loved learning about the islands, the local wildlife and ecology, and Ryan had some great stories he shared with us. He also took us to a gorgeous beach area and went for a little walk where we learned a bit about the rocks and the rock formations there. My kids loved the fast pace tour, and there was never a complaint about getting bored or anything. I highly recommend the campground and especially the guided ocean experiences there and would consider it a "must do" if you're in the region. I intend on returning in the future and perhaps doing the Island drop off. Thanks to Ryan for showing us a great time!

This place is in a beautiful location and is a small family campground. We booked 4 tent sites and rented one RV for our family weekend. It is dog friendly, which is a must for us, and had a great safe feeling for the kiddos to walk and bike around, although I will say that some folks are driving too fast on the grounds. It would have been to know upon booking a few things: camp store closes at 8pm (we missed out on firewood our first night because of this detail), boat tours/kayaks/canoes, etc need to be booked ahead of time and are not always available on demand. We also found it sort of strange that there was music blaring out of the "travellers rest" building all day - when we're camping we like to hear the sounds of nature! Overall we had a really nice stay and what we were looking for was just to relax and spend time together. I know some of our party will definitely return. I'm quite used to a variety of campground settings, and don't personally mind that many of the sites are open and exposed (rather than tree lined for privacy). Expect to see everyone and have them say hi to you :) Jumping off the dock at high tide was fun! We also brought our own stand up paddle board which was an exquisite way to explore the beauty of the location.

While our particular sites were a bit tight for 2 -30 'trailers, we were in a perfect location overlooking the water. The campground is wonderfully clean, good laundry services and washrooms. We had delicious lobster and homemade bread for supper and a fantastic sing song around the campfire our first night! I awoke to a spectacular sunrise where I had coffee on a rock overlooking the ocean. The tour of the 100 islands was great. A perfect day and clear skies. I think a gift certificate to this campground would be a perfect gift to receive! We had a GREAT time! The hosts were helpful and charming although the morning coffee was a bit strong!!!LOL
