We needed space for a few families to stay and hang out, in McBride specifically, otherwise we would have never stumbled across this place. For the first 24 hours of our stay we didn't see anyone else, the office was closed during check in hours, which was kind of bizarre. The cabins were nice! They were roomy enough, the beds were very comfortable. Some of the amenities were a little rough around the edges, our stove temperature couldn't be turned down, most of the window screens were broken, one person in our party fell on the pavement when the picnic table they tried to sit at crumpled underneath them. But for a quick trip, with a cozy rustic feeling, our stay was better than expected.

We were here for a family reunion that was booked a year in advance (it was central for all travelers coming from north and southern BC and those from Alberta). They were not prepared for us. Rushing to clean the rabbit poop and dust from the gazebo and frantically mowing the lawn around the designated firepit while we were setting up our trailer. Their website says full hookups, water and sewer, however, only some had those services and some looked like they had water and power but neither worked and still charged us $189 for 3 nights (2 adults 2kids). There were also no trees for majority of the sites. Some family stayed in the cabins and they looked decent. I did not use the showers or bathroom but I heard there was no hot water. The playground is falling apart. There were a lot of goats that kept getting free and kids could ride their bikes around the loop as long as they avoided the big semi and concrete trucks. Would I stay here again? Nope!

Lovely spot, we are in the area for work. Staying in an RV spot here, there's all kinds of animals on site. The goats run around sometimes and came over to say hello to my husband while he was outside one evening he enjoyed that, I'd say! The scenery and fresh air are awesome. Spots are quite large which is good. Quiet for the most part but as it's right off the highway you do hear some traffic noise. There's laundry on site which is convenient for us. Mcbride is only 10 mins give or take from here. Would recommend this place if you wanted an out of town place to stay.

I had my room that I paid for given away to someone else over at the Sandman in McBride - avoid this place if possible. I was lucky enough to reach the owner of NV Mountainview late at night and she was most pleasant and said she would be waiting for me. How nice to have a person so willing to wait up until midnight to help get me a great cabin! I will be a repeat customer for sure!

Super quiet and very clean cabin. Looks to be two size options. Just off the highway, few mins east of McBride. Fire pit on a stand outside each unit, accompanied by a table and chairs. Inside boasts a comfy king size bed, deep jet tub, and stocked kitchenette with full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, table and chairs. Owner and Staff are welcomeing and friendly. Price is more than fair for the privacy and accommodations provided. Would recommend if you're in the area.

I highly recommend not to stay here. I would give 0 stars if possible. All they care about is money. They do not have basic customer service care. They never answer there phones, never in the office. They charge $6 to wash your clothes and $6 to dry, yet there laundry is never open and you can’t get a hold of them because they never answer and are never in the office. They don’t have the laundry open on weekends. When you bring up issues with them they are not compliant or understanding. She’s says “yeah I’ve been busy”. The girl who runs it is clearly way to young to be running this place if that is her mentality. Not providing a service at all. There mentality is, if you don’t like it leave. We came back one day to them doing renovations in our cabin without even letting us know they were going to be entering the place while we were gone, let alone left a mess when they left. They charge an extra $200 per month for just having an animal in there. How can they say there pet friendly and then charge $200 per month. That is highway robbery. There website states they have internet but there internet does not work, you mention it to them and they don’t care. They don’t restock the toilet paper or towels. They don’t change the sheets. The cabins are nice but the customer service and how they run things is not worth staying here for plus how much they are charging for what your getting.

Just got back form a trip to Mc Bride Stayed in the House joining the main residence, The rooms were very spacious and clean. There were 5 of us and there was no problems with the accomodations in any way. Satalite TV, Movie channels. Large fridge in the kitchen to store everything we brought up. The young Lady at the frnt desk was a pleasure to deal with. We will be staying there again when in the area.

This was the WORST vacation experience our family has ever had. The worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. We were in a large cabin with family, 7 adults and 3 children. We were also told we had to pay immediately upon arrival for the full stay…I’m guessing they do that because they know once you are there for an hour you’d want your money back! Upon arriving we were first told the cabin we were supposed to have was no longer available so we would have to make do in a different cabin that didn’t suit our needs. My husband and I had to share a queen bed with our two children. Next…no water pressure. You couldn’t flush the toilets or wash your hands!! Lights not working and broken hanging from the walls. The furnace Temperature control had the batteries Removed so you could not adjust the temperature in the cabin, we had to put our own in so our kids weren’t freezing. Fridges and freezer full of the owners food that smelled rotten and filled the cabin with a terrible odour. The kitchen was absolutely filthy and we had to clean everything before we could stand using it. The floors were so dirty our kids socks were black! Our bed was definitely NOT clean, the sheets were dirty and full of hair. The tv didn’t even plug into the wall to work we had to ask for an extension cord. There were burned electrical sockets we had to block so our little ones wouldn’t be hurt. We complained the first night about the water issue and they said they’d get to it…literally only one person could shower a day. The following day we were gone sledding all day and arrived home around 8:00, nothing was fixed. After complaining again the owner barged into the cabin, no mask no SOCKS and yelled at us that if it wasn’t good enough we had to get out! He terrified our 5 year old daughter who cried the rest of the night. We had an hour to pack up our entire family and find a new place to stay at 9:00 night and almost 6 hours from home. When getting some of our money back( thankfully) the owner and his wife yelled at my husband in another language and eventually yelled that we should just “GET OUT!” For $600/night I don’t think asking for running water and flushing toilets is too much?! It was truly the worst experience we have ever had. Our family trip was ruined and our little kids were so distressed by the situation. If I can warn anyone about these cabins I would tell you to stay literally ANYWHERE else. Unless you enjoy being yelled at, living in filth, and not being able to bathe or flush for the duration of your holiday. If I could give it a 0 out of 5 I would. The daughter (I’m assuming, younger girl in the “office” who spoke good English) was the only one who had manners, was polite, and displayed any customer service at all. She apologized for what was happening but was very clearly bullied and yelled at for it from her parents. Either way…run don’t walk away from booking here.

My husband and I met up with extended family members for group sledding trip to McBride for a family’s holiday. As we where unpacking and settling in we noticed the kitchen was not very clean, lights would not turn on and TV wasn’t working. They did come to install light bulbs and fixed the TV. I did a wipe down of everything, but for whatever reason I did not complain about the kitchen being unclean. For heavens sakes I picked up gum from where the fridge was!! Later, as the rest of our party was arriving we noticed no water pressure!! When you flush the toilet there was not enough water pressure to wash your hands in the sink!!! If you where lucky one person got to have a shower. How do you pay $600.00 a night and not be able to clean yourself!! Crazy I tell you. My husband phoned the front desk and complained our first night, with the response they would look into it. The next day, we where gone all day sledding, and when we came back the water pressure was not fixed. The guy said you can’t use all the taps at the same time, and there was nothing wrong. Let me assure you we didn’t have all the taps on! Someone had a shower, and there was not enough water pressure to fill a pot to boil our spaghetti noodles. Complaining again the owner didn’t not seem to care and said if you do not like it to get out. This was at 8:00pm at night! We literally, got asked to leave a Chalet with a group of 6 adults and 3 little children in the middle of the night with no place to stay 5.45 hours from our home. I have never complained about a business before on line, but this, in my opinion is criminal!! How do you boot unhappy guests with little children, that payed that kind of money for a family holiday out in the middle of the night!!! Absolutely ruined our family holiday. I have never in my life been so disrespectfully treated with all the traveling I have ever experienced. The MOST unprofessional, disorganized, unsatisfactory, and the worst costumer service I have ever received in my life…. and I work in customer service and retail!!

This was the worst experience in accommodations I’ve ever experienced. We drove 5 1/2 hours to enjoy a weekend with family and friends. The cabin was not clean. Chewed gum on the floor our socks were black on the bottoms that’s how disgusting the floors were. All lights in upper bedrooms were not working TV had no extension cord to even plug it in There was no water pressure to have shower or wash your hands in washrooms when you used the washroom. The owner denied and didn’t care that the water wasn’t working at $600 a night I think there should be bathrooms and sinks functioning. He then proceeded to kick us out of the cabin in the middle of the night we had children ages 3 up through 14 with us in the middle of no where at 9:00 pm and 5 1/2 hours away from home WHO DOES THIS!!! PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE STAYING HERE I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY NO SLEDDERS ARE STAYING AT THESE CABINS. THESE PEOPLE WHO OWN AND RUN THIS PLACE ARE VERY UNKIND PEOPLE. TAKE FOR WHAT IVE WRITTEN AS YOU WANT , BUT THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE ANd I HOPE EVERYONE THINKS TWICE !!! BEFORE PAYING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS!!! I WISH I WOULD VE TOOKEN PICTURES OF ALL THE ISSUES I JUST TALKED ABOUT. I DIDN’T REALIZE I COULD POST PICS THIS DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE.
