It appears my original review has found its way off the page, so I felt it proper to offer an updated note. What I shared before remains true, however, after visiting with several long-time friends who still reside in the park, I felt it important to add to it. I have been informed that new leadership has stepped in following Mike’s departure, and I must say, the feedback has been remarkably encouraging. From all accounts, the lady now at the helm has already begun implementing thoughtful improvements. Moreover, she is spoken of with genuine admiration — described as warm in demeanor, gracious in her manner, and exceptionally easy to speak with. Those qualities, especially in a community such as this, are both meaningful and rare. After a period of uncertainty, it is heartening to hear a renewed sense of optimism taking shape. With steady hands and the right temperament guiding the way, it seems this park may indeed be headed toward brighter and more promising days. I truly hope that continues to be the case.

We saw some negative reviews but decided to be our own judge. We stayed in cabin F12 and it was just fine! We ate at the marina bar and grill and it was great. If you are looking for the Ritz, move along. But if you are looking for a laidback relaxing place with friendly people, give it a go. Great place, good people! We will be back!

Unbelievably expensive for what it is! And the office staff was beyond rude, unfriendly and completely unhelpful!!! The rv sites are quite small and in very disrepair. The tiny patios are old and in need of replacement. The majority of sites are full time residents with very cluttered sites. Definitely would not recommend thinking about staying here!!!

Very disappointed in this place. This was our first time camping with our brand new RV, and we were so excited for the experience. We set up our campsite and went out to dinner, only to come back around 10 PM and realize our boat was gone. After a moment of panic, we found out that the guests in site D18 had decided their boat was too big and, because there were no other spots available, they took it upon themselves to move our boat. They got on it, untied it without permission, and moved it out into the middle of the water. We believe that if all the spots were marked correctly, both boats probably could have fit behind ours, avoiding this entire issue. We ended up having to stay up until almost 1 o’clock in the morning trying to resolve the issue and finally get our boat back. What should’ve been a relaxing evening turned into a stressful, exhausting nightmare. To make things worse, the guests were extremely rude, disrespectful, and completely obliterated drunk. They got in our faces and acted like we were the problem. We feel like nothing was done to address their behavior, even though they were clearly on someone else’s property and messing with other people’s belongings. That’s not just wrong it’s unsafe and completely unacceptable. What made this even more upsetting is that multiple people, including staff, knew about our boat being left in the middle of the water and made it into a running joke around the campground. When it was brought up, people laughed as if it were some kind of joke, rather than taking it seriously for what it was a complete violation of our property and our trust. We had to go into the bar just to find someone who worked there, and that’s when we found Bubba. He was kind and did his best to help, but the fact that we had to track down an employee in a bar during a serious situation shows how disorganized and poorly managed this place is. We later heard that this is an ongoing problem at this location, with people’s boats being moved or docked without their knowledge. If that’s the case, why weren’t we told this upfront? It’s clear they need a much better system in place to prevent these kinds of incidents. When we left, we were told we’d be getting a call from someone regarding the situation, but we never heard from anyone. We’re just really sad and disappointed. What should have been an amazing and memorable first trip turned into a stressful and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially anyone with a boat. At the end of the day, it’s not about how much money someone has it’s about respecting people’s property. You don’t just get on someone’s boat, untie it, throw an anchor out in the middle of the water, and walk away. That’s basic decency, and the fact that this behavior was tolerated if not laughed at makes it even worse.

to begin, KIM at the front desk is very rude and snotty, seriously. and after expressing that to other campers and even other staff- it’s not uncommon. not helpful or polite at all, some education in hospitality is critical. everyone else at the office and store is amazing! speaking of amazing, so is the manager Mike, he really cares about his guests and has a great personality. the bartenders are all kickin it, as well! they’re welcoming, easy to talk to, and all around such a great vibe at the marina. the guests and residents there are all a good time too and everyone feels like family. i saw some reviews about poor wifi or cable, it worked smoothly for us and honestly when you’re camping wifi and TV shouldn’t be so critical. the rest of your staff turned it around completely and was a great stay! definitely recommend to friends and family.
