ACOE Moutadier Campground Bee Springs, KY Beautiful campground with well-maintained & clean roads, sites, & landscape. The sites all appeared to be mostly level. All sites, both RV & tent, were fully graveled with a properly sized bluestone gravel. Also, all sites had a view of the water - even if not right on the water. The lake was also very pretty. The camp is only 14 miles south of the interstate & is a very easy & pretty drive. The only negative at this park were the disgusting bathrooms. Both the toilet areas & showers were old, wet, moldy, dirty, smelled like urine, & had dead gnats all over the sinks. We stayed over a Sunday night, so I don't know if it was nasty because it was an unusually busy that Sept weekend (2 weekd after Labor Day) with a nasty crowd that stayed there that weekend; if they don't have them cleaned frequently enough; or if the people that clean them are incompetent - but I will say the contracted cleaning crew came in the Monday morning we were leaving & seemed to be working hard at trying to get the place clean as we were leaving. I didn't stay long enough to see the outcome, though. Also, when we went to throw out out garbage before leaving they had at least 5 huge dumpsters that had garbage spilling out if them that looked like hadn't been emptied since Labor Day.

Great campground. Very clean Thank you to the volunteers that keep the grounds well maintained. This campground fills up very fast. I would say the campsites are very close together if you're camping in D Loop and A Loop seem to be a little bit on top of each other, but the lake is right there walking accessible to Lake some sites are right on the lake. Most are beautiful Lake views Can't wait to go back!!

The restroom/showers were good and stocked daily. The campsites are clean and well maintained. Campsite D has great water view. Campsite C not so much but it secluded better.

Only reason for not wanting to give a full 5 stars was because we wished they had full sewer hook ups. Other than that, the facility was clean and beautiful and we loved our three night stay here in beautiful Kentucky!

Our site was A28. Tent camping. A large site right on the water. The view was amazing. We have 2 small dogs so we fenced off our site to allow them to roam freely. Swimming, fishing, trails and marina. The shower houses were nice and clean. The campground hosts were super nice. We can’t wait to go back.

Campgrounds are closed. Only expensive rental properties available. Moutardier Resort across road is ..... it's a PASS for me. We will keep moving to find somewhere else to stay the night.

Awful experience— our neighbors ran a super loud generator almost the entire time we were here, even past quiet hours. It was an old generator so extra loud. They kept it one site but then ran a long extension cord to the site where they were staying. At one point after quiet hours started, I went over to ask them to turn it off. I noticed no one was at the site (for almost an hour) but a big fire was left unattended. I also noticed they were running the generator to power a window ac unit they had zipped into their tent. They were making the entire campground circle suffer with their noise to power an old ac unit that they were using for their tent. In a campground where electric sites are an option, loud generators should not be allowed Definitely considered at multiple times over the long holiday weekend to just pack up and leave. When I talked to the ranger about this, he suggested I leave if I wasn’t happy. His response shocked me. Where was I going to go? I had booked ahead and paid for my campsite— in my 40 years of camping I had never had such a bizarre experience

I had reservations for 20 days and they were made for a tent! My site was no way meant for a tent. I have never left negative feedback before but this place I have no choice. And this is not my first time camping, been doing it 7 years. Pictures of the tent and site speak volumes. I tried re-staking my tent 6 times to no avail, the rocks were too big, there was no place level except for where I had it and 2 huge ruts from campers, concrete block ripped out of the ground and 2ft rusted re-bar sticking out I fell over 2x’s. The worst part tearing down my tent, I always place tarp between the ground and tent (seen) all the water above me washed down under my tent and I had to wash the underside before packing, my $48 tarp I had to throw out! I tried to clean it and it smelled of sewage! It became contaminated and couldn’t be saved. The $$ I spent on the campsite and just being on SSA. Never being offered another site, after me telling them it was not meant for a tent! And they knew I couldn’t put it in the grass because it was nothing but hills, ruts, rocks and high un maintained grounds. Mowed 1x in 20 days! I should be given 1/2 refund! Horrible experience. Especially when it would rain and you smell sewage I assumed it was the septic system but even after several days of no rain I could still smell sewage. I discovered when I tore down my tent to pack up my tent was sitting in sewage.

Stayed a few days here. We roughed it on the bare bones tent section. Beware if you're looking at site C017. The first Pic is the website listing. The second, well, that's what you don't see. The entire site was a steep, loose gravel hill that was little more than a water wash out. The other sites in the C section had leveled out pads and stairs. I really wish the website was more forthcoming about what you're actually getting. The bathrooms were OK. Showers were hot and I did see at least the women's bathroom cleaned once during the 4 nights we were there. My husband, however, dealt with a dirty men's bathroom. Apparently someone had left a poo on the toilet that was left for days. There was tissue refuse left all over the floor and wadded up and stuck to the mirrors. Left something to be desired for sure. The park seems to be ran by volunteers based on the "office" you pass as you first enter so we didn't see any "staff" our whole stay. Really, the area is very pretty and the grounds were quiet. It's just a shame about the site we booked ahead of time and the bathroom situation.

This was a great trip! The lake was beautiful and calm. Caught tons of fish (bluegill and channel catfish). The C spots are more primitive and not so closely packed like the others. There is a place nearby to buy firewood and fish bait which was convenient. Cellphone service was great with Verizon. Shower house was clean, nice hot water. Can’t wait to go back.

It is easy to make a reservation. It is next to impossible to call and cancel a reservation. You can call the campground phone number. You will never get hold of a person. The answering machine will pick up and ask for a remote access code. You need a remote access code to get in touch with someone so you can talk to them about the campground. To cancel your reservation. This is the poorest customer service I have ever seen. Edit: We love Moutardier campground and we will continue to camp there. We always have an enjoyable time. Regarding the reservation issue we were never able to contact the campground to cancel. We made our reservations via the Reserve American Camping app. In the end we found that you can contact Reserve American Camping and cancel your reservation. Be warned; there may be a charge depending on your situation.

Foolow up... park ranger verified we were NOT breaking any rules and told us to continue running generator until quite hours.. I would suggest that park attendants be trained on the rules and regulations so they can give out the correct information. Poor management. Rules change based on who your neighbors are. We have an RV and called ahead of time to ask if we can run a generator in a non electric site. We were told yes until 10 pm which is quite hours. No mention was ever made of sound nor did they at any point mention that if anyone complains you would not be allowed to run it anymore. Even when we checked in we again asked and again were told we could run it until 10. The next morning around 11am the male manger came to tell us he had 2 complaints and we would not be able to run the generator at all. I explained that we made the reservations and paid our money based soley off the fact that we would be allowed to run it between the hours of 601 am and 959 pm. If he would have asked us to shut it off earlier around 8pm to accommodate the neighbors I would have no problem with that however we were VERY RUDELY told that we could not run it at 11 AM which should not be unreasonably disturbing anyone. We were never approached by anyone the previous night asking us to shut it off . Attendants choose to bad mouth us and label us as unreasonable even though they didn't get the full story and we were abiding by all rules.would NOT recommend until attendants are fully trained or replaced.

It's the best place to be. I've been coming here since I was a small child and it's still my favorite place to be. I'll always come back!!!!

I will rate every campground from now on comparing them to this one. It was beautiful. All paved, flat gravel site, little path to lake for a dip, so peaceful and quiet. The showers were spotless and had a lot of pressure. I kept adding on 2 more days I didn't want to leave
