Northgate RV-Travel Park

Super easy access off the interstate. Easy to book, good price, big sites, easy hookup- what else could you ask for in an overnight stop. Giving 5 stars, but considered 4 because I didn't get to see the donkeys that were in other reviews š Seriously though, perfect for what we needed.

Stayed here last night and was extremely happy with the ease of getting here, checking in, and staying for the night. This is PERFECT when needing a place to stay for the night while still feeling safe. All sites are pull through and have full hookups, plus the sites are level so thereās no need to unhook. The best part was hearing the donkeys ātalkingā on the adjacent farm. Definitely woke me up a few times over night, but how can you get mad at a donkey?! Will definitely stay here again when traveling.

This place is great!! People complaining about the owner, heās a nice guy! Thatās how he talks, stop and talk with him youāll find out. The park is perfect, close to everything and easy in and out. Spaces are level and lots of room between you and your neighbors. All pull through some up to over 100ā. No showers or bathrooms. Quiet, clean and lots of farm animals and wildlife around. I also read on his website he races pigeons. So if youāre interested to take one with you and let it go at an agreed upon spot just ask! It was $50 a night cash or check only. The place fills up fast in the late afternoon so get there early.

We spent the night on our way back from Gulf Shores. Very simple to make a reservation with the office. The owners are very friendly and nice. It was easy to check in and pay. The sites are graveled and level. Water pressure was awesome and electric and sewer worked as they should. The owner greeted us in the morning and asked if all was good. Great location to pull in for a night of travel. Very close to the interstate for on and off routing with literally No traffic noise! Thanks for the hospitality. We will be back.

Rude. Guy advertises full hook ups year round, false. Shortly after arriving we were told no water if it gets down to 20 degrees, half hour later we're told to hurry and take a shower because it was 32 degrees and he doesn't want us using water. We ended up taking cold showers because our water in camper didn't have time to heat up in tank. No wifi at all. He charged us 50 dollars even though we couldn't use water hookup. My husband spoke to him right before check out time, and the owner asked him how it went. My husband told him he wasn't happy about the water issue, and the owner offered no compensation for it. Then he told my husband that check out time was in 15 minutes as if to tell him he needed to hurry. Side note: we were the only ones staying at the rv park. The place was vacant... We will never go back there again. Rude

Right off I-65, exit 354 in Athens, Al. Easy to get in and out of with a 45 foot fifth wheel & f-450 long bed truck. Nice, clean, felt safe and close to a Walmart & Loweās & restaurants. No sweet dump, but not needed for an overnight or 2. Has power and water. I like the pull through sites.

Strike three! Convenient stop but owner makes you feel heās doing you a favor taking your money. 25% rate hike and that attitude just lost you a return customer. Stayed here about four times in last couple years but no more.

We camped here for the first time on our way back from Florida. It is a simple campground with easy access sites. There were no real amenities, but it was a perfect stopover with nice owners. There were about a dozen people that overnighter there the night we stayed. The only thing I would coach guests on coming from I65 is that the entrance doesn't have a deceleration lane, and traffic moves fairly fast, so use your turn signals soon and begin a long deceleration. Also, because of a deep drainage ditch on either side of the entrance, it would be prudent to take a very wide swing into the entrance. We were driving a 43' Class A towing a Chevy Tahoe, and we made it from the right lane, but not a lot of buffer. About a 5 on the pucker factor scale of 10.

Perfect for an overnight stopover, owners are very hospitable. Sights are reasonably level and are crushed stone. All utilities work as they should, we were cautioned about the city water pressure, and told to use a regulator. Looking forward to the aviary and the homing or racing pigeons. Good luck.

Great overnight place with full hookups including 50 amp service. We arrived with low voltage issues and Wes (owner) stepped in and saved the day by helping us with our problem. Great honest guy with a wonderful sense of customer service. Highly recommend Northgate for your overnight stay.

Great place for an overnight itās right off of 1-65. Full hookup, owners are very nice.

An adequate place to pull off for the night. Good size pull-through sites. Watch out for the strong water pressure! Use your pressure regulator! We enjoyed the rural nature of the site with cattle in a next door pasture and chickens in pens behind the campground. Not much available for a walking area as campground is quite small-less than 50 sites. We would stay here again for an overnight stop.

Great location right off the interstate with several local stores and restaurants, if needed. Campground is VERY well maintained with a very friendly staff. Our family stays here every time we are in the area. Highly recommend! :)
