LEAST FAVORITE campground. We felt super frustrated with the gate system requiring a code to enter and exit glitching and being accused of giving the code out when it didn’t work. Which we did not do. The policies seemed overly restrictive. The music too loud in bathrooms all hours. We DID enjoy the grounds were clean along with the facilities. Just an opinion. No hate intended.

Our favorite camp site to date. From Ohio, we’ve been to several sites in various states and Oak Groves is a diamond in the rough. My children made friends and loved the playground and goats! It was the warmest, cleanest and most inviting place to stay not to mention walkable to the beach and shops. Keep doing what you’re doing because it is appreciated!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Unless you loved the movie Pleasantville and would like to experience that in a campground than this is for you. All of the residences can't wait to say hi, and tell you how happy they are that you are there. Majority of all the "sites" have trailers with manicured lawns, zen gardens, and multiple statues. It felt like a cult complex and they could not wait to convert anyone new. The roads are narrow and flooded when it rains, the sites are INCREDIBLY small, and they do not mention in the video or on their website that they have permanent single wide trailers. I understand that it is a family run "campground" and resort but maybe keep politics out of your advertising? We paid for 3 nights but only stayed for one. We could not wait to leave and unpacked only the necessities the first night so we could leave quickly the next day. When we arrived on site it was around 7:25 pm, well the office closes at 5!!! I hope that you don't have to work because they will not wait for you to arrive. They have envelopes for check in after closing, we did not have one waiting for us! Thank goodness there was a host on site because he was the only "employee" available!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know! Stay clear, stay away!! Unless of course you are looking for a place to retire!

Very clean campground. Very nice and the bathrooms and showers were awesome. The pool and hot tub were nice. Great location and Lake Michigan is so close. We did wish the camp fires were not so close to the next site. I felt like our pit was just blowing right into the camper next to us. There is no alcohol and quiet time by 10:00 but it must not be a hard rule. Unfortunately the people in the cabin next to our camper were up til 3am being extremely noisy and their fire pit was right by our camper so we were forced to listen to them drink and yell all night. Most campgrounds are noisy at night but the people aren’t on top of your bed all night. I think we would just pay for a premium site next time and just not have a fire pit. But I would recommend this campground and it was quiet besides our cabin neighbor.

Amenities were decent but park is way too close to a busy street with significant early morning traffic.
