A Life Time Of Memories
For a state park this one is not taken care of properly. This is a place that you're supposed to be able to bring your camper and the potholes are endless, as soon as you pull in you will see big potholes and the trees are not trimmed so be careful if you're bringing your camper to this site. It was late afternoon when I checked the place out and it looks like a bear or something must have gotten into the garbage but it was not cleaned up and that was at the Park area.

Nice place to cook out. It's peaceful because there are very few people here. The only downside is the restrooms are locked

This campsite was beautiful! It was clean and calm, the people were very respectful, and the showers had warm water—so don’t hesitate to take showers every day while you’re there! The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is due to two main factors: First, there’s not much to do—there’s no dock for fishing, no trail, and no designated swimming area. Second, I strongly advise against bringing your pets. Despite using preventative measures, my dog came back covered in a ridiculous number of ticks. I understand that this is always a risk when camping with pets, but I’ve visited several campsites across different states, and this was the first time I encountered such a high volume. (Nothing they can do about this, just be advised.) Other than that, the campsite is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. 🤍

Such a beautiful place! And they have camping and a boat ramp

Well kept up campground with a laid back vibe. Site 12 included fire ring, picnic table, grill, tent plateau, and potable water. A few other campers were on the campground but didn’t hear a peep from anyone. My only complaint is that it’s next to a trailer park. You’ll hear dogs barking occasionally and I was woken up by a rooster at 3:30am. Sunrise view over lake dorr was nice too.

✊🏾 Great first time camping spot. Good for stargazing and astrophotography also nice sunrise at the boat ramp overlooking the lake. Clean restroom with showers and water faucet at each camp site. You can camp in a tent, car or RV. Good for kids and people who are unfamiliar with the area and or camping. Besides the few EXPECTED stares from other campers I felt safe here and around town even got a few hello’s 🏕️
