My husband and I are on our Honeymoon and unexpectedly had to change our Harvest Host stay last minute. My husband found Base Camp via Google. Can I tell you how extremely happy he did?! We were able to check in easily, even after hours. We did all our laundry, we had full hookups, we even were able to fill our water and dump our RV. When I say this place is worth EVERY dollar? I mean it! The workers are always present cleaning the facilities and property. They took our garbage for us, they were vacuuming the sidewalks for goodness sakes. I can’t put in words the amount of professionalism, cleanliness, and dedication this place has. Then the views on top of it?!? Mind blowing. 10/10 5 stars all around Thank you Base Camp!!!! *Don and Kaitlin*

A great experience through and through. I reached out to Palisade Basecamp requesting to be put on their waitlist for a camping cabin the weekend of the Colorado Wine Festival. I knew it was a long shot but they obliged, and a week out from the Festival received a call for an opening! It was perfect. The camping cabin is just what I needed for my dog to stay in during the Festival and great mattresses for two nights of sleep. The shower house is IMMACULATE. You can tell the cleaning crew took pride in their work. I also loved the little canteen and bought some local palisade peach Kombucha. The location was a quick uber to the Festival park location and also walking distance to a winery next door!

Best RV park in Rocky mountains. Staff: friendly and helpful in setting up RV, hooking up, guiding nearby visits and eating places. Location: Beautiful silent gem with backdrop of river and three sides of mountain. RV park: Got all essentials with good mix of green grass and stones. Overall creates a positive vibe. WiFi is good enough for day work. The family restrooms are huge and feel like home. Fortunately for us, all dogs were on leash and that was really positive.

This place is amazing! We had a family vacation here; we had an RV site and our adult kids and their families stayed in the cabins. We loved the pavilion where we played corn hole, and cooked out. The kids loved the pool, the rocks to play on BUT especially loved the river! The water was knee deep and was so warm! The bathrooms were immaculate, our site was level and overlooked the river and the mesas. We plan on having our family vacations there every year. Thank you!

Beautiful resort. Updated and clean facilities. Decent sized spaces with full hookups. This is in the home of Palisade peaches and the heart of Colorado Wine Country. Surrounded by groves and orchards. This is a very walking friendly town. The staff was friendly and helpful. All them where to go and what to do and you will have a great time.

My girlfriends and I stayed in a cabin for the bluegrass festival. It was very nice! The cabin was clean and smelled super fresh. The beds were very comfy. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The views were absolutely stunning, and the pool was nice. We will be back. Highly recommend!

This spot is great if you like an RV park that sits like a parking lot. No shade whatsoever. I gave a 2 for service because the Owner was more concerned about spending a day and into the evening backhoeing a spot so they could squeak more money out of the weekend to fill the spot while we were trying to have a relaxing weekend experience. I felt it was way overpriced for what it is. View is fabulous if you don't have a massive rig parked in front of you. So many better places to enjoy than this sardine packed location.

We spent four nights at the Palisade base camp and had a wonderful time. The employees were super friendly and fun to speak with. They had a food truck onsite Friday and Saturday and both of them had excellent food. One of them was Mexican and the other was pacific seafood. The setting was absolutely beautiful with the main town center within a mile. The town was very lovely and had many stores, shops, and restaurants. Did I mention wineries? There is a ton of wineries within a few miles of the base camp and even a distillery across the river with a great variety of vodkas, bourbons and moon shine brandy’s. Finally, there are tons of hiking trails within mere miles of the location. We heard about this place through a Facebook ad and were skeptical from the start, however, after spending our four days there we were no longer skeptics and sold on the beauty, friendliness, convenience and location of the resort.

Cozy In The Cloud

We stayed here for 5 weeks and had a great time! The resort has beautiful views and nice amenities (laundry, heated pool, etc...), but the best part is definitely the staff! Everyone was so nice and helpful. One potentially negative thing to note... I personally would not stay here with a reactive dog. Leash rules seem to be ignored and we had issues with many off leash dogs during our stay, including one attack that required our 11 year old, super friendly dog go to the emergency vet due to bite wounds. After 4 years of full timing in our travel trailer, we haven't had a single issue elsewhere, so keep that in mind if you're bringing along your dogs.

I have stayed here the past 3 years and it is always a wonderful experience. The facilities are clean and the views are amazing. The staff gave us suggestions on things to do around town. We cannot wait to come back!

LOVE this place. Palisade has a spot in our heart. We love the escape to milder climate a few hrs away from the mtns. The river front camping is primo, the shower and bath houses are clean and up to date. Have stored camper here for winter. We just love this game of a place.

We stayed here in September 2021. The Palisade Basecamp RV Resort was excellent! We enjoyed everything about our stay. The sites were nice, everything worked well, and the location was great. We were able to bike into town in about 10 minutes. There are a lot of wineries in the area which you can also easily bike to. The store on location seemed to be closed at odd times, but not a big deal for our group. We will definitely be back!

Pull-through spots were big enough for our 40 ft rv but barely fit the F150 long bed truck. Had to park a little on the grass which they would rather you didn't (they need to water at night to keep it so pretty). Pool was still open and so nice and warm and clean. Dog park was the perfect little spot for our terrier mix. Laundry facilities were nice, 3 washers and 3 dryers which took a little longer than a laundromat but they were cheaper and cleaner and more functional! We felt very safe here and the staff was lovely. Warned us of bears as they are surrounded by vineyards and orchards but we saw none. Beautiful views! No real complaints at all and would absolutely return!

The cabins are clean and well laid out with bed, microwave, etc. However, the main office was closed so when we arrived we had no idea which cabin was ours and had to track down a staff member on a golf cart on the grounds. We were supposed to have a packet waiting for us with all the info when we checked in but even though we set our reservation 24hrs prior there was no packet. We called the office number multiple times before driving around to find someone. There is supposed to be wifi bit it wasn't coming up. Overall though very clean and spacious housing, grounds and bathrooms/shower stalls were excellent. They also have a cute little dog park. Seems like a great spot for RV campers and vans.
