Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort

We visit this place a few times a year because it's pretty decent for the price, and the old-west theme is enjoyable. Normally there's not much of a crowd, at least at the times we've gone. We recently stayed here on a Friday night and there were plenty of rooms, we got a semi-private suite with a large jetted tub and a partitioned room. Again, nice for the price and the location overall is good, at the end of a long road, which makes you feel secluded, which is great if that's what you're into. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an inexpensive stay in Borrego Springs.

This is a great dark sky location. Another hotels have better rooms, but are more expensive. Unfortunately, one pool was down for resurfacing, and so was the in-house restaurant. Some of the paint has peeled back exposing raw wood. The boardwalks probably should be sanded. We really enjoyed the veranda seating, shading from the Sun and a light breeze, right next to the bar in the main building.

Palm canyon hotel is always a fun place to stay. The grounds are impeccably kept up. The staff is also very friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishing when we were there so we didn't get to use them. Also one of the pools was closed for refurbishing. We did enjoy our time at the hotel.

The first time we stayed here, in October 2020, we LOVED the accommodations and knew we would eventually be back. Last week we finally got to return. The staff was friendly and communicative with our check-in. Although, it was odd that even though we included a pet on our reservation through their website, nothing was mentioned about an additional fee until we checked in. I had assumed it was included in our rate since I selected the number of people and pets. I even went back to the website to see if I missed it and there wasn't anything UNLESS you scroll all the way down on their homepage and click FAQs, THEN click on "Can I bring my pets with me to Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort?" OR when you're booking, and happen to click on the hamburger drop down (3 horizontal lines) and select the Pet Policy option. But it doesn't mention this on their emails (see attached photos) or at anytime during the booking process. Additionally, on our stay last week we were disappointed in the room. The state of the room was not what we remember. I feel like the last time we stayed here the room felt fresh and clean. This time, it seems old and gross; my guess is maybe some of the rooms have been remodeled and others not? There were gnats all over the vanities, the finishes are somewhat run down, and the towels were not absorbent at all; I think maybe too much fabric softner is used). Additionally, even though there weren't a lot of guests, we were put in a room adjacent to another couple and you could hear everything through the wall.

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Everything was top-notch. Great location near Borrego Palm Canyon. The room was clean, and the beds were soft and comfortable. We received help with everything we needed. The place feels very authentic. I would love to come back here.

We brought the family (2 adults, 2 kids) here for mother's day and had a blast. The hotel itself is the real deal from the pictures: it looks like an old wild west town. The pool was warm, well maintained and clean. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The kids (and by extension, the adults) loved it and we ended up staying an extra night and exploring more of Borrego Springs.

A hotel well past it's prime! Facilities are VERY old, dilapidated. Beds are soft, furnishings worn and uncomfortable, towels burlap-like, very little water pressure for showers, and NO housekeeping or room service provided. Lastly, "service" is minimal, requiring a trip to the office for extra towels or coffee (awful), etc. The restaurant is closed (until Oct/ Nov? Lastly, after spending hundreds of dollars, the front desk quoted me an additional $10 for a one-hour late checkout! Do NOT believe positive reviews.. they are either quite old or dishonest. We will never return to this hotel.. so many other better options are available in Borrega Springs.

Built like an old western town it is a super fun place to stay. Close to everything. Staff is a cut above. Friendly, helpful and seem to really care about the guests.

Palm Canyon Oasis hike is easy to moderate hike. There are a few rocky areas to get up and down. The desert brush is beautiful and if you’re lucky there are desert blooms in the Spring as well as baby big horned sheep.

If you're looking for a really nice sit-down meal when you're staying in Borrego springs, you have to check this place out. Definitely need to try their blue cheese wedge salad, it is awesome. EDIT.... What I referred to as a wedge was in fact the salad management mentioned in their response. I don't want anyone that may have seen my review to get confused. After all, I have over 5 million views on the pictures I have left leaving reviews and I would feel terrible if I misled anyone. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly, and food is well prepared.

We have been living full time in our RV for the past year and have been traveling all over and seeing some beautiful places. This campground is the nicest campground we have stayed in since we started our journey. The sites are very large pull through sites mostly, the two pools are heated and amazing, the two hot tubs are excellent. They have a store, a restaurant, and also a place to do laundry. I never stayed anywhere that was so surreal and peaceful and the staff was overly pleasant

This was our very first trip with our newly bought trailer! When we arrived, the hospitality workers, Gary and Tom, guided us to connect our water and electricity. Later on, they gladly came when we needed help, putting up the swing and setting the stabilizing jacks for the trailer. Tom even went on and showed us his rock painting collection and they were all beautiful. Gary taught us how to clean up the trailer to prevent it from bugs and bacteria. They were both so nice! The office staff were really enthusiastic to help us, giving us an easy check in. After the check in, we had some issues with our A/C, and all the staff were working together trying to help fix it. And the manager of the site, also named Gary, fixed it. The location of the RV park was also exceptional. It was conveniently tucked in next to great restaurant, and to tourist sites. The park also gave us a really nice view of the mountain. All in all, the service and location were amazing.

We reserved a vintage Airstream. What we ended up with was a relic old trailer in disrepair. Although it was clean, the cupboard doors were falling off, the floor was in bad shape, and definitely nothing like we expected. We immediately went to the front desk and were told that they were not able to help us because we booked through a third party. They finally agreed to reimburse us a resort fee which took weeks of communication before they finally followed through ( although I'm still waiting for my credit card bill to confirm) The plus was the outdoor space and the newer barbecue, gas fire ring, and easy access to the pool. This was a great opportunity for camping without the setup and we were looking forward to going back. We have friends that also thought it sounded like a great idea but I cannot in good conscience recommend it. We did complete our stay and decided to make the best of it. The bonus was a 10 minute walk to Anza-Borrego State Park Visitor Center.
