Staying here on our way to Edmonton. What a wonderful surprise to find this hidden gem and it’s FREE! Arrived and 4 RV’s were set up; two more pulled in. Several sites have 15 amp service. Lots of space. Next door to IGA AND Tim’s. We’ll be leaving a donation.

This park has been givi g many travelers much rest and relaxation for many years..As a local and recently retired and sold my house in town and have decided to run an RV for a year round experience. The Russell peace park is somewhat shy of it's intended use..it an be upgraded with very little cost and will bring much positive responses from more travelers...the gesture is great, but would the town please alot some money for upgrades, such as workable electrical outlets, level places to park the rvs..also be sure someone van provide fresh water to the campers..the co-op has septic dump but water is not functioning..this park can encourage much more traffic for the town, and in turn revenue for the businesses

My husband and I thought this was such a nice thing for the town to have. We were just passing through on a road trip with our motorhome and found this place. It is small but it is quiet and right beside everything you need. It is free even for electric sights but there is a donation box and we went into the town and got our gas and groceries and all the essentials. Thank you for giving us a break on a night of camping sonce it could be 20-45 dollars for an electric sight these days. Our road trip/honeymoon is a month long so it hasn’t been cheap. This place does have washrooms too but no showers. That’s okay- it was great! Better than some “rv parks” we had to pay for! Russell peace park was great! Thank you. Highly recommend!

Free car, tent or RV camping. Lots of room, and a large open field also. Has electrical plugins for RV and normal plugs. Two sheltered picnic areas and washrooms. No showers but there is a pool nearby. Great spot to stop and spend the night.
