We had an unforgettable weekend camping with friends and family. Peace River is definitely one of those places you must visit if you enjoy camping. We chose to camp along the riverbank, on the sandy area, although they also offer RV camping. The campground has hot showers, restrooms, and a small store where you can grab last-minute essentials like firewood, bug repellent, and more. The staff was incredibly friendly. We made our reservation through their website and simply checked in upon arrival. The weather that weekend was perfect—cool at night, which was great for sleeping in tents, and sunny during the day. As always, the river water was refreshingly cold. Everyone around us was super friendly, and the kids had a blast! It was a great opportunity to disconnect from technology and enjoy nature. We've camped here several times before and always had a great experience. One important note: if you plan to camp by the river, make sure to arrive in a 4x4 vehicle, as regular cars may get stuck in the sand. Hope this helps!

I have been coming here with family for around 5 years straight. This year was probably the worst camping trip ive ever been on. There was no one enforcing noise ordinance, had people holding the horn on their truck for about 10-15 mins straight. Try to call the office to get someone to deal with it and got no help. This is the last year i will ever camp here. The horn was worst of it but just beginning with the music and screaming alll night long. In addition to trucks redlining all night long.

Lot 59 was great, near shower and laundry area. We just stayed overnight, however if traveling nearby again I would come back and stay longer maybe next time. I done a couple loads of laundry there, equipment worked fine. I liked that the showers were handicap accessible, good handrails.

If you're looking for a fantastic camping spot with family and friends, this place is just perfect! There are plenty of spaces for RVs, and you'll find lots of bathrooms and showers, which is super convenient. Plus, they've got a laundry room where you can freshen up your muddy clothes before heading home. And it gets better—there’s a Dollar General right by the main entrance, so you can easily grab any essentials! We've been here a few times with our side-by-sides, and we can't wait to come back again!

If you are planning on storing your RV at this location, do yourself a favor and don't do it. Last week, we had a trip planned and notified them 24 hours in advance that we would be picking up our RV, as required. Upon arrival, we discovered that one of the tires was completely destroyed. Fortunately, we had a spare and were able to replace it. However, when we notified the woman in the office, who, I must say, has a very nasty attitude, she stated that they are not responsible for the damage. While I understand that they may not be responsible for damages beyond their control, I find it unacceptable that employees appear to have been careless while moving RVs and did not even have the decency to notify us of the damage. We were traveling with a baby, and it is fortunate that we discovered the issue before leaving, as an accident could have occurred. I am very disappointed and believe they should at least hire employees who care about the customers' property. The front desk staff should also improve their attitude toward paying customers.

Very loud campground. People running around on atvs at all hours. All that I was willing to ignore because I like shark tooth hunting and it’s a conveniently on the river. Today in the chaos of toddlers and red necks driving side by side’s everywhere I get approached by the staff to tell me I can’t ride on my ebike! I asked why and he said because it doesn’t have pedals. I said so if I had this exact bike but put pedals it would be allowed? He said yep because the owner doesn’t like them. I went into the office and politely said that I know they don’t make the rules but it was very disappointing and the older lady acted like she could care less and very threateningly said “well I can call the owner and get him down here”. We won’t be returning.

I came here about 17 years ago and had the best time primitive camping. Came this weekend with a camper and while I had a great time it isn't what I remembered. They charge way too much money for what you get, my camping weekend cost close to $1000 between campsite, extra pp fee and golf cart rental (while fun to have, $400 isn't worth it) I didn't book so I wasn't aware of all the extra fees. It's a shame because I'd love to make this place my "home camp," but I just can't afford it, sadly.

I recently stayed at this campsite, and while the location itself was decent, the experience was completely overshadowed by the behavior of the staff. From the moment I arrived, it became clear that their priorities were entirely misplaced. Instead of addressing genuinely dangerous activities—such as people bringing in glass bottles or recklessly speeding in side-by-sides—they chose to single me out over something as minor as riding a quad. What’s worse, I was unfairly targeted for alleged issues while others engaged in far riskier behavior without consequence. I was followed for the rest of the day, constantly scrutinized, while those breaking the rules and putting others in harm’s way were ignored. To make matters worse, they didn’t even allow me to wash my four-wheeler, further showing how I was being unfairly treated. The situation escalated when a second staff member showed up. I informed him that I had everything on camera, but when he asked me to show him the video, he immediately dismissed it without even reviewing the evidence. It was clear to me that they had no interest in resolving the issue fairly, and the entire experience left me feeling deeply discriminated against. To add insult to injury, the staff approached my family and demanded we leave the premises without just cause. I have video evidence to back up my claims and will be sharing it publicly to shed light on how poorly managed and discriminatory this campsite truly is. No one should have to endure such unfair treatment while real issues go ignored. He mentioned how i got him dirty like dude grow up you work outside with 4 wheelers mud slinging everywhere if u don't wanna get dirty get an office job this ain't the job for you

I have been going to this camp ground for 32 years. Loved the place, but last week we spent 6 days there and was very disappointed. I don't mind the 4 wheelers and the other vehicles, but some of them were very rude. 10pm is quite time! We did go up front and complained. Didn't matter. People did what ever they wanted till well after midnight and trucks doing donuts on the beach at 3:15am. Not a happy camper this visit. Not sure we will be back.

The staff at the check in counter were very friendly, the grounds were really kept up well and the bathrooms & showers were great! Loved my camping experience here. My only negative is that the roads are sand. Lots of sand. Thick sand. Sand and dust everywhere. But that's not their fault, it's what they have to deal with. So this is really a 5 star review, downgraded to 4 for people sensitive to dust

Really unable to say - we were not allowed in to find out any details. Traveled up to scope it out before planning a camping trip and was told to come back in a week unless we could pay to look for shark's teeth. They were too busy for an observation pass.. Would have gladly paid an entry fee to get in to drive through - but it wasn't an option.

This campground is very noisy. If you're looking for peace and quiet do not go here. It's more like an ATV park. There are constant ATVs driving everywhere and a lot of loud music and partying at night. We reserved 5 nights but left after the first night. They say on their website there's no ATVs allowed driving after dusk and that quiet hours start at 10pm. That was not the case. We heard noise all throughout the night. We felt a bit misled by their website. I would never go there again.

I had a lot adventures in my life, but this one is the best ever. I will be returning soon. They do need to improve the map, but still a 5 stars
