This park just has a great vibe. From the second I pulled in, the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Honestly, they make it easy, and that’s what you want when you’re rolling in with your rig. Sites are kept up nice, easy to work with, and the whole place feels well managed. Big bonus: they’ve even got on-site storage, which came in clutch and worked out perfectly for me. Not something you see everywhere, and it made a difference. Overall, this park is just solid. Chill atmosphere, people who actually care, and everything you need right there. Definitely recommend it if you’re passing through or looking for a spot to settle for a bit.

Went for 4 night stay and lost power on the hottest day of the week!! Apparently this happens every year according to one former employee. Spent the night without water and electric and took almost a day to get fixed. We were told to bring a generator if we plan on coming back during hot weather. Also the bathrooms and showers were out, so I wish we would have filled our water tank! That said, we loved the location and amenities. The staff was helpful and refunded one night for us. We would come back, but will be bringing our generator and will be filling our water tank next time. Would give 4 stars but 3 because of the known power issue.

We stayed here for two weeks in the front section. Good site with easy in/out access. One of the nicer Thousand Trails parks we have visited. The park is mostly annuals but they are well-kept. There are only two washer/dryers for the entire park and there is a lot of iron in the water so we opted to do down the street to a local laundry. The bath house in our section was great. It was made up of four seperate full bathrooms so you had a room to yourself when showering. They could have been cleaner but weren't filthy and I used them on several occasions. Our site was level and had enough room to spread out with our Clam and chairs. Good water pressure. Location is good for exploring are small towns and Rockford. It isn't far from Chicago but we chose to not visit the city

We liked this campground, over all. It had a very nice pool, a creek, huge open fields, great campground for walking the dog and myself, a huge pavilion, and on the front right RV loop, a very very nice shower building. On one half of the building, there were 4 sections, each a large room with a toilet, sink, and shower and a full locking metal door! I felt very safe showering there. It’s the first campground this season I’ve come across to have full metal locking doors on the shower room. Wow, I was impressed. There is a Walmart 2.6 miles away, a straight shot down the road which was convenient. There was also a super yummy diner, Ned’s Diner, close by that was personable and friendly and the food was delicious and inexpensive. Yum!

My partner and I absolutely love this campground. It has something for everyone- spacious rv sites, tent sites, cabins and permanent sites. We are Thousand Trails members and stay for longer periods of time, and our overall experience here really is positive. The pool is nice, we love walking our doggies around the grounds, the sites we have stayed on are roomy and the people camping around us, so far, are really friendly. I would say my biggest kudos goes out to the staff here. They are kind and courteous and go out of their way to help. My mom rented a cabin for the weekend and the office ladies made sure she had everything she needed. Janet even helped me with my next booking back here after I messed it up on a holiday weekend! I recommend Pine Country 100%! (Just leave me a site please :) )
