Little Beaver Campground provided a stunning backdrop for our three-night stay in late July. The spacious sites, accommodating up to two vehicles each, were perfect for our group of six. The campground offers a parking lot for extra vehicles, if needed. We comfortably fit two tents and a canopy on site 44. The provided food storage boxes were essential for keeping wildlife at bay. While the campground boasts beautiful scenery, we were surprised by the chilly nights, even in July. The well-maintained bathrooms with flushing toilets and hand-washing sinks with mirrors were a pleasant surprise. Although there was a notice about bacteria in the drinking water, we decided to use it, and had no issue. The lake was a short, slightly uphill, walk away. While there was no beach nearby, the lake itself was clean and inviting. We enjoyed swimming and watching the breathtaking sunsets. The campground also offers an easy and rewarding hiking trail through diverse natural surroundings. (Maybe around 5 miles) Unfortunately, the campground's campfire ban was a disappointment. While propane alternatives were permitted, it was a less-than-ideal substitute for a traditional campfire experience. Despite this minor setback, Little Beaver Campground offers exceptional value for its stunning scenery and comfortable amenities. We highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway. (I deducted one star primarily due to the somewhat longer walk to the lake, lack of beaches, and campfire ban.) ⛺⛺⛺⛺

Beautiful campground. Our sites were in loop B on reservoir side. Currently no campfires or bbq allowed. Due to drought the restrooms were closed as well. I still loved staying there. My group had a great time and water was fantastic.

This is a beautiful spot and there are lots of First come first serve camping spots.

Beautiful setup with a decent amount people when we first got there. definitely bringing the bug spray but that's pretty standard at parks like this. the water was clear and the family had a great time!

This year was a little confusing. All the spots on-line that said first come, first serve all had reservations. There were actual fist fights over these spots because of this. We got lucky because someone booked too many spots and let us take an extra one. We were super close to the water. The lake was shallow to about chest height quite a ways out and it felt safe for kids to play. Grounds were beautiful and clean. But lots of bugs. We really loved it!

Nice little camp grounds. With easy access to the lake. A 2 min drive from a boat ramp and day use area with a nice beach. Newly added bear boxes and has flushable toilets. Very scenic drive to the campgrounds.

One of many campgrounds near the Grass Valley reservoir. Each site has a fire pit and a table. Grounds have flush toilets. Nearby town for essentials is LaPorte. This campground is particularly nice as it's adjacent to the Maidu boat launch, day use picnic amenities and a small beach. Cell service is minimal, so plan ahead to let loved ones know you'll be off the grid. Enjoy your time outdoors!
