Great place to stay!! Walking distance to great hikes around Watson lake and Willow lake. Our site was on the hill with great views. Like many of the RV places, the sites are very close to each other, so we've learned thats the norm in some RV PARKS.

We were in the back (#54) and things were pretty nice. We did walks to Watson park multiple times a day. We did the whole lake loop. MTB trails that were marked blue were much easier than we are used to in Colorado or that we found in Cottonwood or Flagstaff. We did Pioneer park and headwaters. Target and REI were about 15 minutes away, town just a bit longer. There are a lot of rules make sure you read the website before committing. We happened to hit a colder and windier week so we did NOT get to paddleboard. When booking be careful not to book by sites 68-74 which over look the road and have the noises to go with that. We did not walk the front loop but I would also be worried about road noise.

We had a great stay here. Loved the hiking trails and the over all location. We come to this area yearly for our kids soccer tournament. Their games on sundays are always up in the air on times. This is the only place we have stayed at that charged us for an entire extra night stay when asked if there was anyone checking in after us to see if we could extend our checkout times just a little longer. I also understand it’s their policy it’s just hard when we travel for youth sports and it all depends on brackets. We typically never know what times we are playing on Sunday until that. If you are a traveling for sports, I would keep that in mind while staying here. There are some other places around that are little more understanding and know you aren’t not just trying to take advantage of a late check out.

Point of Rocks RV Campground is a fantastic getaway in Prescott, surrounded by stunning granite rock formations and offering direct access to Watson Lake and Granite Dells trails. The sites are well-maintained and private, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Clean facilities, a peaceful atmosphere, and unbeatable scenery make this a top spot for RV travelers. Whether you’re hiking, biking, or just relaxing, this campground is a must-visit!

We had a great time camping at Point of Rocks. Our campsite was nice. The trail to Watson Lake right off the campsite was very nice and super convenient. The lake is beautiful! It reminds me of the Alabama Hills with water! So pretty! We had a Bald Egale flying over our heads too! The grounds keeper, Rich was super sweet and very helpful. The bathroom , though a bit on the older side were very clean and warm. The water pressure and temp in the shower was perfect! Thank you!!

The sites are large and carved into the rocks and trees so you feel like you have a lot of privacy. The campground is really pretty. Lots of huge rocks and vegetation. The bathroom is clean. There are 3 shower stalls and 3 toilet stalls. The water pressure is good and the water heats up quickly. There is a trail to a beautiful lake. I have no idea if the staff are friendly because I never saw/interacted with any staff. They had our campsite info tacked onto a board outside the office.

Hubby and I stayed at Pt. of Rocks Campground in Prescott, AZ for 6 weeks and we enjoyed our time there very much! The sites are nestled among trees and bushes which add so much to the experience. Also — a few feet from the campground — the Watson Lake Trail leads you in a lovely hike among Prescott’s Dells, a breathtaking rock formation. In addition, the campground’s staff are friendly and helpful. We want to go back soon!

The place was great with hiking trails a couple of nearby lakes. We have a small 22ft travel trailer and the space we were given was 66. Because my truck is large, I thought I was going to take out the little tree directly in front of the site. There's a small tiny trail to get in there so that you're not blocking everyone else while you park but it's still not wide enough. You have to jack knife your whole rig sideways just to get it in without hitting the trees. A little bit of tree trimming would be nice there. The only other thing I had issue with was that the drains were cleanouts were at the front of the campsite where they should be at the back of the campsite. Everybody had super long double connected sewer lines just to reach them. Had I not thought ahead and got two of them for myself I never would have reached it. If that was the case I would have had to pull my rig out and tilt it with the Jack so that it could drain properly at the end of my stay. Everything else was perfect and exactly as I expected it. Just two things need adjustment. It does snow here and it was still an enjoyable time. Everything was beautiful and more than I thought it would be. I will return to this place but I will get a different campsite number other than the ones next to 66.

Check in was easy, our packet was on the board with our name, and exact directions to our site (74). Backing in was easy as cake! Only stayed 1 night, but everything was as expected. Power was wired correctly, sewer was obvious. I did take a minute to find the water, because it is underground (in a box), and had insulation over it. Took me a second to figure that out, but worked fine once I hooked up. One note is the water seems extremely hard, I had some calcium in my sink. Not a big deal, just need to wipe it down. Due to the cold (below freezing for ~8 hours) over night, I put some water in my tank and disconnected the hose overnight so it wouldn't freeze.
