Second time to stay here. We camp in a travel trailer. The check in is super simple. They lead you to your site and always ask if there's anything else they can help with. They have several activities for kids.

I am fairly disappointed with this place. As a first time KOA visiter, I wish the standards were set higher, but now I am not so sure about paying for the "membership" With that - I want to say first, the staff is AMAZING. I didnt talk to anyone who wasn't kind and helpful. The bathrooms are nice, although they need new shower heads in most. The water was good and hot. If you are thinking about this location for the "Prizer Lagoon" do not. There is no lagoon. The whole area is run down and nearly a safety hazard. All the activities around the lagoon are also closed. The restaurant is "eh". We all ordered steaks and they were disappointing, under seasoned and way overcooked. The pull through sites have ZERO shade. Get a back in site if you go during the summer. The fire rings in the pull through are built into the concrete and are uncomfortably close to the RVs/cars, so we didnt use them. There is NO control over kids here. There are kids flying down the roads on golf carts/scooters/electric bikes/etc. We had kids run through our site and knock over a table and just leave everything laying. The pools are decent, but on the smaller side so they got packed in quickly. There were a few things listed for the 4th of July "event" (like an italian ice seller and some food trucks) that were not there. It was quite pricey for the weekend, for the lack of listed amenities.

Tiffany the operation director was awesome however, the sites are packed. Ran into some rude people using our corner site for their personal sidewalk. Almost got ran over by a golf cart sitting in front of my site. Site 26 should be removed.

Imagine looking forward to dining at your favorite steakhouse on Friday. After placing your order for a steak, you wait with anticipation, only to be served a hotdog. When you point out the mistake, the waitress informs you, “We only had one steak and you didn’t “”lock it in””, the customer beside you paid more and we gave it to him instead.” Confused, you explain that you were never asked or informed about needing to “lock it in” to secure the steak. You then ask if you would be charged less since you ordered a steak but received a hotdog. She replied, “No.” This is exactly how the Cadiz KOA responded when I showed up to camp at my lakeside spot but discovered because I didn’t “lock it in” I had been moved. Basically a reservation means nothing if someone is willing to pay more.

Great location. Just some observations. Pretty good camping spots. Although many of them have the fire pit built into the concrete slab and are too close to where the RV parks on the slab, which makes the pits pretty much useless in many spots. Many dead and dying trees that really need to be cut down before they cause damage to RVs. Speed limits are not enforced. Kids driving around without parents in golf carts and quads, etc. is not enforced. Noise is not enforced. I recommend this park but be aware of the above that I just spoke on. We would come back to this park.
