Easy to use CA State parking lot to spring off to hiking adventures. Great views can be seen from relatively easy short hikes with manageable grades. If you are visiting the area get the State Park day pass ($10) which will allow admission to the state park beaches along the PCH (including El Matador).

I loved it here I come at least once a year and have been since I was 14 years old. I am 53 now. My family and friends have a lot of great life experiences here.

Another great campground along the ocean. We went for a weekend and we had a fantastic time. Our site was 45 and it had shade all day, it’s mostly cover under a tree. other good campsites is 44, 41 and 56. campsites after 41 have a trail to the ocean that leads under the highway and its passable in low tide. be careful going down to the beach. Restrooms by the bridge were cleaned and flushed we love flush toilets. there is a trail in the back that leads to the hillside. you can take your car and park at sycamore cove beach. one more thing, the campsite floods when it rains, make sure to place tent away from the pit and the picnic table.

Is my favorite place to go riding my mountain bike, plenty of trails to try, beautiful scenery. Perfect place if you like to ride, hike, run or camp. 💯💯💯

Very beautiful. My mom, daughter and I decided to go here as a kind of camping trial for my daughter to see if she liked camping or if she wasn’t ready to stay away from home. It was about a 1 1/2hr drive from our house to get there and We only reserved a spot for one night. It was such a great experience. Easy to navigate and not packed. We had a few campers in the spots around us, but we couldn’t even tell. We had plenty of space to ourselves. We stayed close to the bathrooms to avoid getting lost at night. They were very clean and had a separate wash sink for laundry as well as to wash hands. They also had shower rooms. Besides the camping grounds across the street is the state beach. All night long you could hear the sounds of the waves crashing. It was very helpful to put my daughter at ease from missing her own bed. Definitely worth the trip and now that I know my daughter is okay camping I would definitely come back to stay for a longer trip.
